Re: Chinese tourists (and their habits) surge into Thailand

Two quotes from Khaosod English: Former Deputy PM Chaturon Chaisang warned on Tuesday Thailand could face another COVID-19 outbreak if there's no screening of Chinese tourists. Chaturom posted the warning on FB after the government insists it will treat Chinese tourists just like those from other c...

Re: Flying to/from Thailand, latest updates

I think the health minister is a smart man and knows what he is doing. His years and years of training in top medical institutes around the world will make sure he makes rational decisions and we can trust in his judgement. Gotta go now and take my once a week shower as I am a dirty falang. Have a g...

hhinner wrote: Tue Nov 09, 2021 7:17 pm ^^ 113 km in 2 hours is 56.5 kph, not 27.
My bad, It says its 611km. Then if it can reach 32kmh they are gonna be running almost full speed the entire way to make it in 20 hours. Seems quite agressive. :run:

611 km ÷ 30 kmh
= 20.36666667
= 20 hours

Re: Chonburi to Songkhla Ferry service

Guess my math isn't working. The Hua Hin to Pattaya Ferry was 2 hours at the most for 113km total distance. This is a little over 400km and it takes 20 hours. I think maybe the difference is 27kph for the ferry vs 17kph for the Seahorse Ferry... 20 hours just seems excessively long .. :? :? :? :? :?

Re: Coronavirus Precautions/News/Updates for Hua Hin/Prachuap

I am flying VietJet from BKK to Phuket on Friday and can no longer wait 30 minutes on the phone to have a question answered. When is a negative Covid test required to fly these days ? I completed Phuket sandbox August 24th and have not left Thailand since. It seems for a domestic flight I would only...

Hey all, I have been looking at hotels in Bangkok to quarantine in when I arrive April 1st. I see everywhere that its a 14 day quarantine in the news but I have heard that's actually not true. Re: Student protests in Thailand

Question to the protesters: How will you life be different/better if the PM steps down? Well they wouldn't face arrest for protesting and martial law will end. That's a good start. OK. Then they'd have less to protest about but my question remains: How will their lives be different or better. Thus ...

Democracy. Something they DON'T have now. That's quite easy for them to understand and is part of the reason they are out protesting. :banghead:

Hi All,

Thanks for the information. It's not City Beach Resort or Sirin Hotel but on the opposite side of the street, same side as Burger King but a littlefurther up towards Phetchkasem Road.

Hotels on the same street as Burger King, opposite Police Station

Hey everyone, I am trying to find the names of the hotels on the same street as Burger King opposite the Police Station. Seems like an amazing location to stay but over the years I am sure the hotel/restaurants have changed names and owners a few times. I was just in Hua Hin last month but silly me,...

Re: Hut bar Soi 80

Good spot! Technically it was Saturday as I was there past midnight on the Friday! Does this mean the ‘Other place’ on Soi 94 has also changed hands? Both good questions! I loved the Hut Bar and it's basically my local whenever I am in Hua Hin. I also like the "Other place" the family own...
