Re: New demands from Hua Hin immigration for marriage extension

The first time I did an extension based on marriage they asked for a witness. That was 3 years ago in HH my wife and I had been married 12 years at the time and have two children together. I think its a random thing based on which officer you get. Of course the second time we gave them a small donat...

Re: Kite Surfer Dies Off Hua Hin Beach

Re: Non immigrant O visa renewal

Takes only 30 minutes to extend if you have the paperwork. Have a basic hand drawn map to your residence ready and the photos you are good to go. The lady who does the photo copies will tell you what you need assuming you are using HH office. Don't worry about reporting leaving the country through i...

Re: Rough Cost of 6 x 6 m Storage Shed

The shed will be out at an acreage so it doesn't need to be fancy. All steel and concrete construction using the large Thai style cinder blocks and a metal roof.

Where to find Yum Yum Curry Flavour?

While I'm at work in Africa I buy Yum Yum brand curry flavoured soup it is my favorite but I can't find it in Thailand. It is a Thai brand and made in Thailand but so far I haven't seen it for sale anywhere in the kingdom.

Has anyone seen it for sale in Thailand?

Re: Electric Cars

With populations moving to live in the cities it will be interesting what solutions governments will come up with to be able to charge electric cars. Look at Bangkok for example. Parking in near impossible to find and often people double park. Can you imagine asking Thais to share power outlets. I k...

Re: Legal status of illegal vehicle

My dash cam connects via wifi to my phone. In the event of an accident a copy of the video will be on Youtube before I give it to the insurance guy and/or cop. I will let them see it too so they know its online. One can never be too sure what collusion is going on between the police and insurance rep.

Re: Legal status of illegal vehicle

I have to wonder how these 50/50 verdicts will work in the future with many people now having car cams. One would think insurance companies will not be so eager to agree with police verdicts when they have video evidence.

Custom Made Parrot Cage

Has anyone had strong custom welded parrot type cages made in Hua Hin that could recommend for me a shop. I know of a good place in Bangkok but would like to give the work to locals if possible.

Thanks

Re: Club Moto Kawasaki big bike shop

I'm waiting for them to bring back the Z900 for test ride. I like the Ninja 650 KRT but I would kick myself for committing to it without riding the Z900 first. Shame that the pillion seat cowl doesn't come with the KRT it is a separate accessory. The Akaprovic exhast is also expensive @ 37000 Baht.

Re: Thai electric car

The dream of EV will not come easy to countries like Thailand where few parking spaces near a residence exist and no street based power outlets are available. The cable thieves will have a hay day. You can just imagine how Thais would try to steal the power from their neighbors by unplugging them an...

Washer Dryer Combos

I am considering purchasing a front load washer dryer combo. I used one in Korea a few years ago and really liked it they are very convenient for rainy days (like today). However online reviews are overall quite negative. Any owner that can give me their first hand experience/opinion.
