Re: Songkran to become 1 month festival
I have to say I have never seen the celebration start this early before here in HH. Normally a bit of water splashing the night before the big day by some kids and of course in Sou 80 and Bintabaht, but this year full on action all over Soi 94 by mid day early afternoon! I also know about two accide...

Re: 2024 F1 News and Prediction League
Imho F1 has become boring. Not enough fight for winning. The last year's only Hamilton and Verstappen. I know F1 needs to be the top end wrgds to development and finding new cutting edge technologies, but racing where everyone has the same equipment is SO much more competitive and entertaining! YNWA

Re: Thai police require stricter foreigner screening and monthly case reports
I wonder if tourists have got worse/crime has actually increased, or it the BIB being made to work for a change. I think the latter, but now they go for the less serious ones too, such as mc rentals, tour guides etc. But from my point of view it is very welcomed since this is illegal and for us fol...

Re: Phone Stalls, Top Floor Market Village
MV is full of tourists so I suspect the phone stalls buy stuff on Laz, then hike the prices for unsuspecting farangs who wouldn't be ordering online if they didn't live here. We've walked away from them many times when quoted something silly for something that costs a fraction of the price online. ...

Is Saturday 6th April, Chakri Day, a day where the bars cannot sell alcohol?

Donation of used clothes.
Anyone know somewhere they would take used clothes for donations? I'm a bit on the big side but for sure there must be somewhere which would like to receive good quality used clothing which I don't use or need anymore?

Re: Pizza in Hua Hin
Had it again at Lakeside Bar. Phad grapow pork pizza with two eggs on top. I was going to take it home, but after a couple of beers, I decided to try a slice. The whole pizza was gone a short time later. It’s like crack! Probably my favorite pizza in Hua Hin right now. Perfect spicy complement to t...

Re: Premier League 2023-24
Some interesting and controversial results yesterday, with Liverpool claiming a last minute injury time winner that was hotly contested by Forest (who look to have a very valid grievance). Valid? Well same thing happened to Liverpool in the first half but opposite way. After the wrongfull start whe...

Re: Another alcohol clampdown
Can buy in bars and restaurants anytime. The 2til 5 restrictions only applies to shops etc although Villa sells anytime. So the limit is totally stupid! Exactly. I wonder which planet the Thai politicians are living on? The restrictions which are now in place isn't preventing anyone from getting al...

Re: Chinese tourists (and their habits) surge into Thailand
This was Terminal 21. Soi 19. But currently it is 23:00 and I'm in Soi Nana. No Chinese here, but lots of farangs and Indians. Ah, okay thanks. Not normally a mall I bother with. I wonder what the big attraction was, as there's really not that much there. I went there for the food, which isn't too ...

Re: Chinese tourists (and their habits) surge into Thailand
I have now taken a trip to Bangkok, and OMG how many Chinese I see. I was in one of the big malls and I think nearly 50% were Chinese. What Mall were you in? I go to Bkk on Friday for 9/10 days, be interesting to compare, it will be after the weekend. This was Terminal 21. Soi 19. But currently it ...
