Maybe nobody finished below them. Maybe "outstanding" is the lowest possible. :)

Re: Bitcoin mining and cryptocurrency thread

Haven't various governments warned that crypto is a bubble waiting to burst and investors will be hurt? And doesn't it seem that various governments are trying make the prophecy come true?

Re: I think I need a border run?

This used to be the case and probably still is if you don't need more than another 7 days. When your 30 day extension is just about to finish go to immigration and apply for another one. It will be refused but you will get 7 days to leave the country. 1900 baht.

As far as I can see AIS has Fox Sports 1, 2 and 3. These 3 channels are on local cable and don't have any EPL. You can Google fox sports Thailand to see the schedules.

Re: RE: Re: Naebkahart Road Restaurant???

The Thai says rancafe, rather than the usual word for restaurant, which is interesting. I had to double check the Chinese characters as I only studied simplified and these are rather more stylised than I am used to. They read Zheng Sheng, which might be translated as Magnificent! No wonder all the ...

Re: British Passport renewal company in Hua Hin?

Key Visa website has instructions on how to use their service. Unsurprisingly it includes sending the current passport. VFS probably needs to see it. Key Visa will hold onto the passport because they will need it to collect the new one. However, if there is some urgent need to get the passport back ...

Wrong about what? I only commented about MDMK referring to the HMPO service where you send stuff off to UK yourself. The Key Visa deal seems like a reasonable service.

^^ Agree. Thailand should establish a police force. Maybe more than one, but one would be a start.

Re: RE: E-business tax targeted to fill govt coffers

The Revenue Department estimates its annual tax revenue growth will triple to 15% after the e-business tax, a levy on any online transaction that takes place in Thailand regardless of the e-commerce operator's location, comes into force. Mr Prasong is upbeat about the tax revenue target of 1.93 tri...

Re: Tourists blamed for trashing Hua Hin

I think we should assume domestic tourists unless explicitly stated as foreign tourists. This article mentions both, but I think that everybody realises that the vast majority of tourists in HH during national holidays and weekends are Thais.

Re: Hua Hin's most dangerous pedestrian crossing

They'd rather spend millions on stupid PR stunts like the crossing by the market than use tried and tested enforcement and deterrence methods.
