Apologies for the rant, it was harsher than I would have meant, but I get a bit sick of hearing the 'soi dogs get treated better' argument. Yes, Farang, if it had been a soi dog you would have got 20 comments. 15 would have been how they're unsightly and should all be killed and debating the best wa...

Can we stop with the soi dog analogy? People are as apatehetic about the dogs as they were about this poor old man, believe me. If I'd read this thread, I'd have been down there, despite now not even living in HH. But I didn't. HHAD isn't really on my reading list anymore, largely because of the att...

Has anyone thought of going to the press? Not sure if the Thai nationals like the BKK Post would run it, but you could try. I think the UK papers might be interested, though. I would have thought a British citizen being denied treatment in a Thai hospital because of money difficulties might be a sto...

Some interesting posts. Just my twopenn'orth, but when we had the charity shop and were selling Mercy House's crafts, we had a donation box for them on the counter, as well as one for ourselves. I may not have the right impression, but I seemed to understand from them that, while they would happily ...

I thought your idea of somewhere central selling Mercy House Crafts a very good one, Barry. When we had our charity shop we used to sell the crafts for them and they were extremely well made and a very reasonable price. I'd have thought a bookshop (Megabooks???) or furniture/Thai style product shop ...

Why is this in Foo? Strange place to put it... OK, never mind. Just to let you know, Bill & Lorraine that I was talking with Lindosfan this morning & he, his wife & I will definitely be coming. My friend who's staying with me probably will too. I still have to ask another 3 people...

As Lindosfan says, it was a terrific night. Lee Shamrock is a born entertainer - well worth seeing. If you haven't seen him & YOBT hosts him again, I'd really recommend going along. :) Thank you so much to Bill & Lorraine for all their hard work. It was a huge success. Thanks go to all of th...

^ As I said last night, we'd accept bids via PM from anyone who couldn't make it.

We have one bid on the Siam Old Teak bed already. Anyone else (bed or golf package) before bidding kicks off in YOBT on the night? PM's only to (buffalo) Bill, myself or Lindosfan1.

Just a very quick update. I've spoken to Lorraine today & it seems that tickets are virtually all gone, so it seems very unlikely they'll be available on the door on Saturday. I hope Bill or Lorraine will confirm that, but that is my understanding. Thank you to everyone who did purchase a ticket...

Sorry In my last posting I quoted a nasty PM'd to me by a mod. It wasn't it was Dawns lapdog. Begins with an L and ends in 1 Apologies, everyone. Just one post & you can get back to Asean. So, Richard. First you make an irrelevant comment, seemingly expected to upset me. Then you say a mod pm'e...

On behalf of HeadRock Dogs, I'd like to thank Wayne from the Dubliner & Neil from the track so much. We're so grateful to everyone that has donated a prize and to Lorraine & Bill (I'd say I was grateful to Lindosfan, but I'm sure we all agree that his head doesn't need any swelling... :P :D ...

If there are any left, then, yes. The way they are selling, though it might be better to get them before. If you can definitely make it, but just can't get into town beforehand to pay, then we might be able to reserve you a couple. :)

Getting a lot of people wanting tickets now, which is great. :D We've decided that 2 of the prizes (the bed from Siam Old Teak and the Golf day for four from Banyan Golf Resort) will be auctioned, rather than raffled, so remember to bring plenty of cash on the night if you're interested in either of...
