Re: New Hua Hin Immigration office at Bluport

No, I asked that question last week, and was told I had to go to the main office.

Re: mobile patient hoist

I've never been in there, but there's a shop just South of Hua Hin Hospital that looks as if they would have what you are looking for. Same side of the road as the hospital.

Re: Hua Hin hotels push airport redevelopment

Do you really think Hua Hin is so congested that it couldn't handle the extra traffic? Would the Sois be clogged with Asian tourists all the time? OK, during high season it can become a bit unbearable when the Bangkokians drive down on a long weekend. However, we're talking people arriving by plane,...

Re: Education reforms as elusive as ever in Thailand

I honestly don't know. I was usually told after the event that she'd been and passed. I did think it was a crazy scheme though. I think one of the problems she's facing is that she isn't looking at going on holiday for a few years with a piece of paper at the end of it. She has wanted to be a milita...

It will sit in your outbox until Takiap clicks the message. It will then move into your sent box.

Re: Education reforms as elusive as ever in Thailand

I will quote an example of Thai education. My granddaughter has been a grade A student throughout her education, excelling in everything she's been taught at her Thai school. To be doubly sure of getting the correct course, she has spent the last 6 months travelling most weekends to various universi...

Re: Help to Find Hotel of last visit

LOL, 20 years ago Binta was Binta, Soi 80 was residential, foodcourt on 88 didn't exist, Soi 94 was a wilderness, Market Village was a field, as was Bluport. The beach is basically the same.

Just a few things have changed.

Re: Hua Hin hotels push airport redevelopment

 I guess we all have different needs. I like the idea of being able to have travel opportunities from Hua Hin rather than have to battle my way to and from Bangkok every time. I've done all of the touristy things, so it's only when we have visitors that I bother. IMHO if they're arriving by p...

Re: Demolition of restaurants + shops in Poon Suk road

I rarely go that way either these days, but as a tourist, I was there most nights. I think much of the custom comes from tourists. If this draw has gone, those people will go elsewhere. The area has to suffer. I know many visitors, who go for food there, and then visit the local bars. If the 'budget...

Re: Hua hin post office location?

There is a Post Office there. However, there's another out near the airport, and another opposite the land office. There are many smaller offices scattered around town. We tend to use the small place top floor of Market Village.
