Re: Hua Hin Bluport Mall news, events and updates

Believe me, when its attached to a barrier, in the middle of the road, official or not, it sends out the message, no entry. It has been reported that the sign is to make the Southbound carriageway one-way, which could be correct for the sign posted by caller. However, if you read my response, That ...

Re: UK shifts visas for Thai nationals to India

I encountered a situation when I first moved here where a little compensation was necessary. However, it was definitely a win/win situation and the alternative would have cost me much more.

Re: Road Signs in Hua Hin (and maybe elsewhere)

The official signs are at Frank's link, and they look like international signage.

Re: Hua Hin Bluport Mall news, events and updates

LOL, I'd still like to know if upper floors are usually accessible from the basement car park, or whether the up eramp is an official motorcycle park these days.

Road Signs in Hua Hin (and maybe elsewhere)

A discussion on the Bluport thread has thrown up the validity of many of Hua Hin's road signs. I wonder if this is why so many Thais ignore them. Frank Hovis kindly provided a link to official Thai Road Signs , and it is evident that many of the signs used on Hua Hin's road infrastructure do not com...

Re: Hua Hin Bluport Mall news, events and updates

Thank you caller for your sterling efforts - they have been appreciated. However, this has only served to pose more questions, which I will ask on a non-Bluport related thread in the Motoring forum.

Re: Hua Hin Bluport Mall news, events and updates

That sign is similar to one I encountered going South yesterday. Basically, they say heading south or north, just enter the main car park entrance as normal and ignore any signs , especially those in the 2nd pic. Is this similar to being waved through red traffic lights? I probably need to adopt mor...

Re: Hua Hin Bluport Mall news, events and updates

Thanks, it's not a big deal as there are plenty of alternate routes. My real interest was the ability to access the entire car park if I use the underground entrance in future.

Re: News of the Weird - this just in!

As far as I'm concerned, your Australian cousin talks sense. I think it must be 8 years since I've used Hua Hin beach for the traditional sunbathing/swimming. If we want a beach, it's generally Cha-Am, Suan Son or Ao Manao. Sometimes we might use Had Sai Noi.

Re: Hua Hin Bluport Mall news, events and updates

On another note, it appears Bluport is in trouble. A lot of empty space there now. I'm not a regular visitor to Bluport, but I go there occasionally. Last night was the first time ever that I've seen the store busy with shoppers, as opposed to rubberneckers. We had to buy milk on the way home, and ...

Re: Hua Hin Bluport Mall news, events and updates

That barrier is to keep traffic from heading north along the one way road. Its not about parking at Bluport. It was the Southbound lane that was blocked with a clear arrow pointing left. Is that road one way? I've regularly used it North and South  . I've seen the stretch that passes MV is on...
