Re: The 90 Day Report Thread

Hmmmm....... submitted mine 2 days ago - just received the rejection because data submitted was invalid. I've checked the data submitted against previous applications, and they are word for word identical. Is there a new requirement? Off to Bluport :?

Thai PM Proposes Schengen Type Visa For SE Asia

Personally, I think it's a great idea. We get so many visitors who travel to see us, but then go on to other neighbouring countries before coming back to Thailand again. Hopefully it would simplify travel for us Expats living here as well. https://www.imidaily.com/asia-pacific/thai-pm-proposes-sche...

School classes ‘can go online’

Really? I thought we'd left this kind of kneejerk reaction light years behind us. The new school term, which starts on Thursday, could proceed with online classes if health threats to students arise, including the spread of Covid-19, excessive heat or high levels of air pollution, the government sa...

Petch Hua Hin - that sounds a bit better than the suggestion I read yesterday i.e. Hua Hina Diamond.

Yes Mr. Srettha, many of us want it, but it never happens.

Re: Thai Football 2023/24

Prachuap's 2nd leg form has been amazing compared to leg 1. Chonburi have to be favourites for the drop with their next game away to a very in form Muangthong. The final game at home to relegated Trat shouldn't even come into the reckoning.

Re: Thai Football 2023/24

Trat and Police are effectively relegated. The final place will be fought over by Chonburi, Lamphun, Prachuap, Sukhothai, Khon Kaen and Nakhon Pathom, although Chonburi must be favourite for that last spot, being 4 points adrift already.

For one thing, they wear helmets.

Re: Things That Wind Me Up Driving In Thailand

Most likely, but Thais are more adapt at driving with wider than usual loads, and don't tend to forget. You can see it every morning here as they leave Chatchai Market, totally overloaded. By Western standards, many Thais drive in an unorthodox manner, but they have been on the back of a motorcycle ...

Usually drunk when I've seen them keel over, but I would guess illness at the time of day in 2dandan's post.

Re: Things That Wind Me Up Driving In Thailand

They tend to hit, not whilst driving in traffic but squeezing through gaps at junctions (similar to the US example, which reminded me) that are perfectly wide enough for a motorcycle, but not for a set of golf clubs i.e. I have been stationery each time.

Re: Things That Wind Me Up Driving In Thailand

I've just checked the width of a Honda Scoopy, and according to Honda, it's less than 27" wide (683mm). However, that is not the point. Exaggeration or not, its a pretty stupid way to ride a bike, especially if you are going to forget that additional width. It winds me up, but its why I have ca...

Re: Things That Wind Me Up Driving In Thailand

At the moment I have a loathing for Farangs riding big cc scooters (Forzas etc.) Why stop at big cc scooters? What about the guys who sling their golf clubs sideways across the seat behind them. It at least triples the width of the bike...................... but they forget. I've had a couple bounc...
