Ortorkor Market

This place opens this Friday, 25th May @ 11am. It looks like another giant (covered, this time) food court. This one is situated next door to the mini-bus station on Soi 51.

Re: Grab Coming to Hua Hin

Better, but still a bit silly. Y'all need to buy a scooter, for hoppin around town and a car for heavy shopping. :thumb: I won't drink/drive, so that is one instance I will use them. Additionally, I don't go anywhere on 2 wheels, so parking can be a problem with a car - another good reason for usin...

Re: Grab Coming to Hua Hin

I was out with friends last night, and they were delighted with Grab. Taxi mafia price from their house to town has been 300 Baht for some time now. That has meant a 600 Baht on cost every time they want to go shopping, a bar, a restaurant, etc. Last night home to town cost 140 Baht. Town to home co...

Re: Hua Hin police to get tough on motorbike helmets

Revenue collection from this scheme seems very active at the moment. Small numbers of BIB hiding around corners, with loads of people seemingly queuing up to contribute to the scheme. I've come across several of these small traps around town over the last week or so. It never fails to amaze me that ...

Haha, I thought that was a classic car
It was BB, basically a restored 1967 model that had been re-engineered by Jaguar.

Re: Thailand tourist slump continues

Personally, I'm not a touristy person, and always did my touristing in low season.

A for the second part, no, I couldn't live outside a tourist town. Rather the pain of tourists 6 months a year than living in the wilderness.

Re: Thailand tourist slump continues

I agree, my party house owner is probably quids in still. My popular bar owner, is probably surviving on somtam and a bowl of rice at the moment.

Re: Thailand tourist slump continues

I would not agree that tourist numbers are down at all, maybe in HH they are but not overall. Personally I would be happy with no tourists. https://tradingeconomics.com/thailand/tourist-arrivals This is where we confuse ourselves with definition of tourist. Are we talking all foreign visitors? Visi...

Re: Hua Hin City 2018

This will be my last report for sometime - I just don't enjoy the football any longer. I will continue to bring fixtures and results. Hua Hin City 0 – 1 Look E-San 5 Hua Hin City players have left the team in recent weeks; at least 3 of yesterday’s squad are due to leave during the mid-season break....

Checked today, sunday 1:30 pm Market Village to Cha-Am. 410 Baht, reported by the App.
I took a ride on the bus.
Your average tuk-tuk driver will open with that to go as far as the airport bus station.
