Re: Poor choice of dashcams on Lazada!

Yes, my cards are not class 10 or anywhere near that. I was sold run of the mill SD cards when I bought the cameras, and have used them ever since. I'll see how the Go Pro comparison goes. If Go Pro gives similar results, I'll consider a better class of card.

I'm not sure anybody "condones" it but it is normal. At the least certainly not unusual.
There were a couple of members who didn't seem to think such antic were OK on a public highway. I will admit, I've just been back through the posts, and support wasn't as strong as I remembered.

Re: Poor choice of dashcams on Lazada!

BB, clarity of the videos depend on the resolution (i.e. number of pixels) the dashcam is rated for. Most these days can record at a true 1080 resolution at 30 fps (frames per second) . Don't settle for anything less than this . The front camera I got has a resolution of 1296, which helps with the ...

Re: Bat Cave near Cha Am

You'd probably be better off getting a taxi. When you get there, just before dusk, you sit on somebody's roof to watch the spectacle - nothing special apart from the sight of 2 million bats flying out of the cave, which is actually amazing. When we went, we were the only ones there. The owner of the...

The bit beyond TKs was also flooded, with the road closed. Establishments like The Room were still cut off.

Re: Best "free" film/TV streaming sites?

I'm downloading everything I need these days, supplemented by True Visions for the footie and ifollow to watch Plymouth Argyle matches live. I was watching the likes of Sky News live via a freebie VPN, but that hasn't worked for a couple of weeks now, with the message: sky.jpg I've been thinking the...

LOL, wear your wellies.

Actually, I was down that way, and it's so sad to see the drying out operation taking place in so many homes and businesses.

Re: Crazy Motorcyclists

I accept that we have many members who condone this type of behaviour, as normal but I will never understand. It happened again today as I nipped down to Khao Takiab to pick up some stuff for our dogs. Everything was fine, and the road was usually quite quiet. Mrs BB distracted me for a second point...

Re: Weather in Hua Hin & Thailand

As I said in my second video, we saw a few like that out near the new Immigration at about 2:50pm yesterday. Unfortunately, I had inserted my SD card incorrectly yesterday, so the moment was lost.

Here's a photo of a bar in Takiab that I captured from social media for a friend yesterday:

Re: Poor choice of dashcams on Lazada!

there seem to be more than a few question marks (poor job of reading numberplates After reading your comment, it got me wondering, and I looked back at the first of the dashcam videos I posted yesterday. Yes, about 50% of the numberplates are unclear. I then started reading signs all around, and ha...

Road Down to Chinese Temple @ Takiab

I've just been watching Thai News, and they've been showing the hole where the road to the Chinese Temples used to be on Monkey Mountain. Damage caused after yesterday's storm.

I've searched social media and have found this photo of the hole.

Doesn't surprise me one little bit. Thais aren't stupid, and there's no way so many referees could be so incompetent.
