Re: Dutchman Jumps From Hua Hin Hotel

This phenomena seems to be much more common in Pattaya--they call it "The flying farang" problem. There is a great suspicion there that many of them are pushed rather than slipped or jumped.

Re: 2018 Football World Cup News and Prediction Tournament

I am no football fan, but a review of the 'experts' seem to narrow it to just 4-- Germany, Spain, France, Brazil

Re: The Best and Worst Airlines and Airports of 2018

I enjoy S'pore, surprised that HK is not in the top ten. The Tokyo airports are fine, but I don't find them outstanding.

Re: Good, reasonably priced wine

You are correct BB, I have not bought the boxes of wine for some time as a mate of mine goes to Cambodia twice a month and brings really cheap wine back. The 4l at 799 is no more and when I asked about it, the usual blank looks. All boxes 1000+

Re: Electric Cars

I have a neighbour who complains constantly about his high electricity bills. Not once, but several times I have been at his house--the patio doors are wide open and the A/C going full blast.

Re: British home comfort food?

I was amused when living in the US. A new huge supermarket opened and they had all the items that have been mentioned here plus Birds Custard powder and Marmite. The amusing thing was that these items were in the "International Gourmet" section.

Re: Good, reasonably priced wine

The boxed wine is good value, each box holds 4L or 5+ bottles and sell for 700b or a little more. I buy it from Tesco added bonus the head lady of the wime dept is a really attractive woman.

Re: British home comfort food?

In the time that I lived in the UK I developed a taste for British or rather Scottish Marmalade. Those brands are available world-wide now but they are NOT the same--they are orange jam. The REAL marmalade is not sweet, in fact, if you taste it neat from the jar it makes you pucker up with its tartn...

Re: Skin doctor ?

Laser v Cryo with liquid Nitrogen.
I have had both and prefer the liquid nitrogen. Almost no pain with no need for local anesthetic, better coverage and scar looks better. The Dr had me return after 4 weeks, fora "touch-up" at no added cost
