Re: Thai women second fattest in Asia

Lots of blame goes to 7-11 in my view.

XL cartons and of soda, iced coffee, frankfurter sausages - all that stuff has plagued the nation.

Re: Weather in Hua Hin & Thailand

Tried explaining to the wife that today’s weather was a typical summers day in northern England - 22 degrees, overcast and drizzling, with a stiff wind.

Great for a one off relief but a sweet reminder of all things summer back home.

huahinsolar.com

Nice Canadian chap behind this company, based in Hua Hin.

Seems very knowledgeable on the topic. We had him and team round to quote for an installation.

The contact number is somewhere on the website.

Re: Vermiculite - where to buy?

Thanks for that.

I spoke to someone there, thai guy, good English.

They have Perlite which will do the trick for what I need.

Let's hope he pulls through with his promise of delivering to Hua hin.

Cheers.

Re: Cars with dashcams get 5-10% discount

I renewed with AXA through AA Insurance.

Photos inside and out along with a signed AXA disclaimer form gave me 6% I think.

The dash cam will pay for itself over 2 years providing the benefit is offered next time round.

Re: RE: Re: Immigration to introduce 90 day reporting online

If you live in Phetchanburi Province (Palm Hills) can you still go to Blu Port or do you still have to trek up to The Yang? Trek up to Tha Yang I'm afraid. I just completed the last stage of the process: Receive an email saying "Notification 90 days is Approved. You can check status by visit www.im...

Re: Premier League 2017-2018

Wenger, the board and the owner are to blame for all of this. The manager lead us to 5th place this season. Our worst league finish since he took over. He was rewarded with a 2 year contract extension complete with a sizeable payrise. No other club in world football would do that. In that respect th...

Re: Premier League 2017-2018

That was the first live football I watched this season, knowimg full well that Arsenal's decline will continue. Wasn't surprised by the result but was absolutely shocked by the line up. Wenger looked like he didn't care too much. He looked broken in his post-match presser. Something seriously wrong ...

Nudging this thred as it's a touch out of date.

Does anyone have a recent positive experience with a local guttering supplier?

Re: RE: Re: Back in the UK after 14 years

It's the gambling ads that really annoy me, and they seem to be particularly prevalent during the day-time crap shows (I sat and watched one or two with my Mum). 'We'll give you £10 to gamble' - and then we've got you hooked. No wonder so many people get into gambling debts in the UK. VS When Thai ...

Our developer isn't including them in new builds unless they are explicity requested. We took the keys to our new house five years ago this week and there was no dishwasher. During our first few visits we were accompanied by inlaws, oulaws and friends alike and used to do a fair bit of entertaining...

Re: Car testing centre revs up after stalling

We recently replaced ours. Nearly 4 years of use.

In all honesty, it feels like a completely new car with the fresh treads on.

I'm amazed at the difference.
