Re: TV series worth downloading

I have had some Irish friends suggestion the series Moone Boy. I have it scheduled for download when I get home and get better download possibilities. Wikipedia article about the show.

(Shit! I got over 50GB scheduled...)

Re: The WOW Science Thread

Only the inner parts of our solar system that has had any exploration worth mentioning. The outer (and largest) parts of our solar system still contains many secrets. And there are many secrets still to unravel in the inner parts of the solar system too, like if there is life in the probable oceans ...

Re: The Digital Surgery

I have enabled SPI now since you mention it should be enabled by default. In the log there is only information from the last few minutes. Maybe it clears itself when it's switched off. The log contains this information 3/25/2014 23:43:21> netMakeChannDial: err=-3000 rn_p=8056b018 3/25/2014 23:44:16...

Re: The Digital Surgery

Hi Frank, According to the user manuals I've checked on the Billion web site this ACL controls what IP addresses on what interface have access to what management protocols on the router firewall. So if you activate the ACL you will restrict management access to any IP address on your LAN. Of course...

Re: The Digital Surgery

I don't think that would not help. Stateful packet inspection (SPI) helps determine what data are allowed to pass through the firewall into the LAN. It should not have any influence on who can log on to the router. But activating it will increase the general security of your LAN. I found a manual fo...

Re: The Digital Surgery

No, it has nothing to do with who can access the router. Any outside user can access it, or at least reach the login page if they know your external IP address. And that is OK! You should be able to contact your router from outside to change settings if needed, or to get access to a computer on your...

Re: Photo Report - Hua Hin Beach

Great read and pics, BB! Too bad it is a bit late for me... ;-)

I took a look at the beach by Hilton the first full day here and turned without returning since.

After my gf politely asked, repeatedly, for us to go to the beach, I decided to go to Khao Takiab tomorrow after reading tip # 100. :D

Re: The Digital Surgery

Not helping your question, but It shows what looks like a standard entry to allow any machine on the LAN to access the router. It shows that any machine with an IP address from 0.0.0.0 to 0.0.0.0 on your LAN is approved. That address is non-routable . It is used by computers that has not received an...
