Re: Swimming pool operating costs

Actually the costs can vary e.g. The efficiency of the pump can dramatically reduce the costs. Even if you can afford it it pays to be economical.

The Norwegian health service if similar to the UK NHS will only pay for treatment in the home country.(unless they approve treatment abroad in special circumstances e.g. New cancer treatments} Interestingly when...

Re: Shark Attack - Had Sai Noi

Why should the local authority ( and tax payers) foot the bill? The real question should be why is the bill so high? It seems way over the top to me.

Re: How can Thailand curb its appalling road fatality rate?

The biggest danger in my opinion is from pick ups and small to medium size commercial vehicles i.e. Vans and buses. Cars usually are driven quite well. Motor cycles are unfortunately involved in many accidents but mainly they kill or injure themselves. Nothing will change unless the law is enforced.

Re: Government urged to blitz corruption

Any crackdown on lower level corruption i.e. Police, public officials etc will require a simultaneous large increase in salaries paid to same. Hopefully paid by those who can afford it rather than those who can't avoid it.

Higher level corruption is a different story.
