Re: A pretty realistic article about Thailand retirement cost

Generally, my wife and I live on 50,000 to 70,000 baht a month. 15,000 for rent of a 2 bd., 2 bath, fully furnished house, with owner supplied gardener, in a compound that includes a pool and workout room. 1800-3000 for electricity, depending on use, 50 baht a month for water, and the rest for food,...

Re: Record Shop & Cafe

Looking at the argument from the reverse makes a good point. I wasn't thinking about reproducing recorded music live, just the opposite. As an improviser the idea of reproducing, note for note, recorded music is abhorrent. Also I was, though I may not have made that clear, referring to acoustic inst...

Provincial Chief Prosecutor's Office. Although bigger, it seems to have progressed faster than the much discussed new immigration office.
Not really, they've been working on it for over a year.

Re: Knee Replacement

If your doing any surgery check out the BKK hospital in Bangkok rather than in Hua HIn. Your friend might also google: knee replacement surgery in Thailand. I've had one surgery done in BKK, Hua Hin and never again.

The 3 wise men from the east may have been the 3 Wiseman brothers from eastern Europe.
Oy, giving stuff away?
They were giving away the Hanukkah gifts they didn't want. The gold was just plating from Egypt.

Re: Baggage at airports: Is that your bag sir?

I've got an 15 yr. old, cheap black carry-on from Walmart. I painted a big silver X on the front and have never had any problem identifying it or anyone taking it. Even thieves wouldn't want that bag. Luxury luggage is an advertisement for theft.

Re: RE: Re: Hua Hin is starting to look a lot like Christmas

The commercialization of xmas began a long, long time ago, when the first person bought the first xmas present. Was that gold, frankincense or myrrh? Frankincense and myrhh could be made at home and the gold may have been gift, purchased earlier for some other reason. "One never knows, do one?" :ro...

Let's also have no eating in national parks and that would eliminate rubbish. No walking would protect the flora, Let's close all national parks and preserve the land. Ecology unlimited!

Re: Record Shop & Cafe

Your 30 yr. old vinyl recordings will sound like crap compared to a 30 yr. old cd. Well my hearing isn't good enough to challenge you on that, but that are an awful lot of folk out there who would! Not on the technical data, but simply on what provides the more authentic or better sound. Better is ...
