Re: Dutchman Jumps From Hua Hin Hotel

Is that really necessary []Better question, is offing one's self during the daytime necessary ? When others, especially children may have to deal with your decision. Night time or indoors please..... Seems that you don't know Thai's behavior. They love to see death. After an accident a huge crowd i...

It's a personal decision alike abortion, euthanasia. He had his reasons, read what the hotel maid said: He passed her in the corridor and looked like a man with the weight of the world on his mind.

Re: Australian man 'stabbed in chest' in Thailand club

I think this story has run it's course. Nothing in the reporting can be believed. i.e. His name was of a different person. He wasn't attacked and stabbed in the toilet but in the bar. He wasn't 'stabbed in the chest' it was a jab in the side. The accounts from the victim and others are at complete ...

Re: Australian man 'stabbed in chest' in Thailand club

... he had no reason groping her. Even if harsh, he got the lesson he deserved ... Speaking from a female perspective: a pinch on the bottom is not a grope, she is (I guess) a young lady that is used to being groped on a regular basis. She wouldn't have minded - it's part of the job. If he had stab...

Re: Australian man 'stabbed in chest' in Thailand club

Even if he had drinks with this lady, she later was with another man and he had no reason groping her.
Even if harsh, he got the lesson he deserved and as JayTee wrote, he must be lucky it was not a Thai guy.

Re: Australian man 'stabbed in chest' in Thailand club

Stupid move on the Ausie guy's part, but it doesn't justify a stabbing, and for those who don't already know, it is actually illegal to carry a knife on you. I can only imagine the Israeli must be a very insecure sort of guy. Wrong, it's not illegal to carry a knife, depends on the size. I don't re...

Re: Australian man 'stabbed in chest' in Thailand club

The real question should be: Why did this Aussi touch a lady, who was not alone. Oh yes, it was about 4 am and was very drunk. Good excuse. If not stabbed, he would be punched or kicked. Next time he should try same with a Thai man. 555

The real question here is 'Why was this guy carrying a knife in the first place? Did he expect trouble?'
He was aware that many bad people are hanging around.

A very passionate debate about a 19th. century events and what about a worse calamity ? Globalization ! The invasion of imperialist yankee products as McDonald and Starbuck in several countries, even with a coffee tradition.

I believe he was being sarcastic saying euro didn't know shit from shinola (does that translate across the pond)? I modified a common american response to aggressive ignorance: You don't know your a$$ from a hole in the ground. Not sarcastic. Intended for europtimiste. FYI an aSh. is very useful, b...
