Of course it was a technical problem, the boat caught fire!! As for your argument that you've never seen a speedboat accident - are you seriously suggesting that because you haven't seen one, there can't have been many? Words fail me...
Collisions yes, many but explosions are rare.

Re: One tourist killed, 11 injured in speed boat explosion

From all those comments, seems that accidents never happens in your countries.....555 Another of your foolishly provocative comments - I’m sure that every national reading this thread accepts that in their home country, accidents like this do happen, it’s just at a much lower frequency as a result ...

Re: Naebkahart Road Restaurant???

Thanks for taking the time to reply but the Koti Restaurant (Rannahan Hua Hin in Thai) is indeed on the Petchakasem Road. I have a feeling that the super busy wooden restaurant on the corner of Naebkahan Road might be called something like See Ye Chek Bie.... Does that sound familiar to anybody?? I...

Re: Naebkahart Road Restaurant???

Some time ago the restaurant was called "KOTI Restaurant" i do not actually know, if they changed the name . . . when the restaurant is open and the blinds are open, you rarely can see the name. http://plimpim.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/02-koti-restaurant-hua-hinl-2016-11-24.jpg http://plimpim....

Re: Hua Hin's most dangerous pedestrian crossing

I make a point of taking no notice of them at all and obey the lights. Everywhere if a person is guiding pedestrians you have to obey him and not the lights. Here we have the robotic man of this forum. So if I put on a high-vis jacket and tell you to cross you'll do it? Don't tempt me.... First I w...

It's also open lunch time, but the hot pot is not available, only evening.
It's a very good and cheap restaurants. Only inconvenience, you have to wait for a seat, but service is fast.

Re: Hua Hin's most dangerous pedestrian crossing

Also, the penalties for getting caught in the UK are a deterrent. I remember laughing when I received my one proper Thai speeding fine - I think it was 400 Baht paid at the Post Office. That will not deter most people from doing it again. Happened to me too, now not any more: I have a radar detector.

Re: Hua Hin's most dangerous pedestrian crossing

In Europe and some western countries, pedestrians are not anymore able to look at traffic before crossing. They are like robots: green : GO. red: WAIT. If you use your eyes and your brain, there is not any dangerous pedestrian crossing. You should go to Vietnam and learn how to cross a road without ...
