Re: Thailand Calendar

You gotta love the government junta here, lets give the people more holidays, but ban alcohol, smoking, vaping, fireworks, music, dancing girls, advertising, opening after midnight, inappropriate coloured clothing, full moon parties, gatherings of more than four people, chairs on beaches, food vend...

Re: The Peril of Bar or Restaurant Ownership

They dream, they buy a bar without any experience, they have not any contact with customers, they consider them as a slot machine.
Actually at Soi 80 you have a bar for sale: First price was 450.000, second time 350.000 and soon at any offered price.

Useless comment? Genuine interest regarding which road to avoid.
Actually I didn't see any road to avoid, unless you drive later than 11.00 pm, they are maybe working and some inconveniences, I drive every day this road 2 to 3 times.

Maybe/maybe not, but does anybody really need a beer that much whilst visiting a National Park that they would risk a month in prison. One thing is sure, a beer won't be as readily available once imprisoned.
YES, YES after visiting a park, after walking around you need a cold beer.

Yes, it's possible.
I have been several times, but never stayed at night. Some friends did some years ago and were satisfied.
Hotel was OK, now must be much better, girls available and as they are not looking for farang food restaurants were also good.

Re: Police checkpoints in Hua Hin

I can confirm that Thais as well farangs are checked and fined the same way. Unless a tourist who doesn't know the amount of the fine and pay the amount asked by the cop. I am happy that here we don't have the point license.

Be that as it may. Regardless of where in Europe the parts come from , they are made to the same exacting standard of the Rolls-Royse legacy which is recognized the world over , and assembled on British soil to the same exacting standard to boot :) It's still have his high class, but unfortunately ...

Re: Smoking ban on Hua Hin and Thai beaches, jail time for offenders

Very good idea, a smoker area. The losers will be non smoker areas. I smoked for 26 years and quit 2 years ago. I do not mind smokers at all, but one thing I do NOT feel like is a loser. As a matter of fact I feel the complete opposite that I managed to win the fight against nicotine addiction and ...
