Re: Blood pressure medication in Hua Hin
Try the Pharmacy half way down the Night Market by the entrance to Chathai Market. The owner's two children work there and are trained Pharmacists. They stock a lot more than Fascino including medications that are normally only available on prescription. If not in stock will order in, I get my blood...

Re: Latest English Language TV deals
I use HDprimeTV through fiber wi-fi. Have it downloaded direct to smart TV and also on laptop and tablets. About 200 baht per month for all the TV channels I need (Sky sports, premier football and all the UK standard hannels). Occasional problems buffering but is normally pretty good. Back up on my ...

Meerkat Was Bangkok Bank branch in Bluport. They were extremely helpful. Charge for 12 months worth of statements was B100. I have read on other forums that some Banks are asking for B100 per page. Robert Williams First time I went to immigration I had copies of Bank Book pages, Certificate letter t...

Re: Monsoon Valley entrance charge
Used to enjoy a trip out there even though the prices were a rip off. If entrance charge now introduced on top of the rip off prices will no longer be on my visit list. Could be just because we have just been through holiday season. Went in to Sizzler in Blueport yesterday to have the B139 salad as ...

Re: 'How To' - Requirements for visa extensions etc
Scout, fee for each set of documents was B100. Yes my balance was less than 800k and as the balance has nothing to do with proof of income I have not the foggiest idea why Immigration need it other than to waste more paper. The letter is valid for 7 days so had to get another for the re-submission. ...

Re: 'How To' - Requirements for visa extensions etc
Just successfully completed Non Imm "O" visa annual retirement extension using monthly income method. Previously used British Embassy letter to prove income but this year had to show monthly international transfers above B65000 for 12 consecutive months. Was remarkably easy once all the re...

Re: Thai Driving Licence 2019

The girl who dealt with my applications at Pranburi spoke very passable english. The only requirements for new temporary Licence were:- 1.IDP m/c 2.Residence Certificate 3.Me...

"A Shabby Mess"
Not just Hua Hin, but true of most Thai town's. They all look pretty much the same, faded dull concrete buildings with rubbish and vendors piled up on the sidewalks.

Was at Pea Mai again last night and enjoyed an excellent Pork Chop from Steak Van Adapt for B109. Meal was only slightly spoiled by the ignoramus on the table the next to us lighting up half way through. There are large no smoking signs in English & Thai all the way round the food court . Most o...
