Re: Retirement Visa Extension and Wise (Transferwise)

Went into Bangkok Bank Bluport Branch yesterday to request the email service for Credit Adhices. Got the usual Thai first response ' can not do'. After me insisting it could be done guess what, someone senior was called over and it was all sorted. Why is any service process in Thailand so stressful....

Re: Recommendation for sewing

Sewing/repair shop in Soi 80. Did a good job reducing my shorts in size, and not expensive.
Go up Soi 80 from the 7/11, take first turning on left then turn right into soi parallel to Soi 80. Shop is 2nd building on right. You will need a Thai speaker with you if you don't speak Thai.

Guess you can't open the PM I sent. I was a jeweller/goldsmith before I retired. You can call me on 092 570 5443, maybe I can help.

Re: Retirement Visa Extension and Wise (Transferwise)

Didn't know about that. I use Bluport Branch and get charged B100 when I request a Credit Advice. Had a row with them last year, they wanted B500 for a year's worth of Credit Advice's

Re: Fish & Chips

I've eaten it a couple of times in the last few weeks but it wasn't that much unless you had a drink with it? I'm sure its more like 230 Baht My mistake, was 225 (thinking about price of the Hamburger on the menu) Found the taste of the Barracuda very similar to North Sea white fish such as Cod. On...

Re: Fish & Chips

Just had Fish & Chips at Gary @ Sabsi Sabai, Soi 102. The best F & C I have had in Hua Hin. Barracuda steaks in a crispy batter and real homemade chips. Passed on the mushy peas (never been my favourite) but the side salad was excellent. At 320 Baht great value for money. Will be going back.

Re: Dentist recommendation

Have used Hua Hin Dental Clinic in the past and found them to be very good. Recently have been using the Dental Clinic at Bangkok Hospital. Have found their service to be excellent with very little waiting time. Equipment is modern and prices are very reasonable unlike other departments at Bangkok H...

Re: Crossing Lights Out by Blueport and Bangkok Hospital

I was lead to believe the the lights at the Bluport Crossing were ininstalled by Bluport so the municipality are not responsible for them. Probably why it is Bluport Security staff manning the crossing. On another note because it is a private crossing, traffic violations are not enforceable. Do not ...

Re: Bars Running Golf Outings in HH

Hua Hin doesn't have a Bar Golf Day scene similar to Pattaya. There are fewer Golf Courses so particularly in high season tee times are at a premium. You may be able to piggyback with some of the local societies such as Hua Hin Golf Society or Take 5. Alternatively book through a Golf Tour Company. ...

Re: Hua Hin societies playing at Royal Hua Hin

Not sure about societies playing regular at RHH but with the good rates now available for RHH Resident Club Members it may be a good idea to get up a weekly group for members.
RHH did advertise that they were going to hold regular members tournaments
