I received a cryptic message from a friend that she was sent a message from the neighbor that my friend Roy had died. Roy was from the USA and lived on Soi Ban Gai. I was wondering if anyone on HHAD knew him and can confirm this.

Very sorry to hear that. I remember many trips to Ranong in the van and helping him out of the boat back in da day. You and Billy were some of the first people I met back in 2000 when I came to Hua Hin to set up the Shrimp factory in Pran. He will be in my prayers.

I was one of those early in 2000 when there were just a handful of Farang residents in Hua Hin. Alan was a great guy and a great friend. As Toms and Richard and those who know me, that we had a lot of good times back then.
He will be surely be missed and never forgotten.

I really liked the mag and used to look forward it to it coming out. Altough in the past few years it was 80% real estate ads. Even though were gone now from HH I sure wouldn't be paying a hundred baht for it. I would have thought the huge amount of advertising would have paid for it.

Just got an email from Boathouse. Seems there is an auction April 13, Songkran Day at 4 PM.
The email says "Quote your own price"

I went to look at it last year and thought it was way overpriced, Looked nice but...

Seems Market is slowing a bit.

That type of boat in the swells and hummocky seas of the Gulf of Thailand especially during the NE winds during the winter high season will beat the living crap out of you. I am glad to see they put a disclaimer that the ride may be a bit"Bumpy"
