Re: Sunday Brunch at hotels

For those looking for "free flow", that Coffee Club place behind the Hilton has a sign outside offering it on beer and wine from 12-2pm and 6-8pm for 149bt when ordered with a meal, which doesn't sound too bad a deal.

Re: New bike path on Highway 4

I cycled it yesterday and there was the odd motorcycle on there but not enough to cause a problem.

Re: New bike path on Highway 4

I've just been for a cycle this afternoon and they've now put some parking in at the Hua Hin end, just before the Vetinary university, which is handy for taking the bike by truck.

Re: Hua Hin International Jazz Festival 2017

Yes, I'm not in anyway a fan of Jazz but I had a wander around last night and it seemed to be a very well organized event with a good attendance. When you consider it's free, it was really quite impressive. I walked past again this evening at the end of my beach walk and it was still pretty busy jus...

Re: Sunday Brunch at hotels

Hi, any of the big hotels offering Sunday Brunch with free flow? Cant seem to find any up to date info. TIA Binlid I remember walking the beach a while back and the Chiva Som was offering a deal like that with free flow wine. I plan on heading past later today and I'll see if the notice is still th...

Re: Five die in wastewater pond

I remember that some years a go, three members of a farming family in Northern Ireland died in similar circumstances in a slurry pond.

Re: Why can't Farangs stop complaining?

When it comes to the joys of complaining, where I work in Europe nearly everyone drives around the same large, chaotic roundabout to get to work and every morning, I hear everyone complaining about how bad all the other drivers are and I'm always wondering just who exactly all these abysmal drivers ...

Re: Crowded Suvarnabhumi nosedives in airport ranking

For me, Munich beats Singapore because it has its own brewery:

Suvarnabhumi is just a crowded, sweaty shopping mall where you can catch flights.

Re: Thailand tourist slump continues

I walked the beach from Khao Takiap to the center of town this afternoon and it was the least number of tourists I've seen in years, there were more old Thai ladies looking for shellfish.

Re: Demolition of restaurants + shops in Poon Suk road

To Nothappyjan What's wrong with you? There are now 2 yes2 shopping malls. Streets, beaches who cares-- there are 2 shopping malls who knows there may be more to come. Condos and shopping malls that's how you judge a Thai city. I'm sometimes left wondering if it's not the big investors behind the s...

Qatar airlines disruptions.

Just a quick warning that Qatar airlines are having significant problems due to an ongoing diplomatic problem having just closed Saudi and Eygptian airspace to them. Anyone with a flight in the near future needs to keep an eye on the situation.

But do the Bangkok Thai Condoistas eat on Poon Sok? Probably not, so why fix it up?
That's pretty much what's going on, they would quite happily replace the whole city with shopping mall.

Re: Demolition of restaurants + shops in Poon Suk road

I find it incredible a lot of furniture has remained whilst demolition has gone on all around it. If you look at those photos in the link above, it looks like that Chen Seafood place is being dismantled rather than demolished, there are stacks of building materials on the pavement. Presumably they'...
