Re: Electric Vehicles (EV) Thread

^It would make more sense to me if it was a plug in hybrid with a realistic electric driving range, so you could use it for local driving as an ev and long range as a petrol car but the one I saw wasn't, it was just a hybrid.

Re: Dubai airport (DXB) flooded

I used to work in the region and witnessed some fairly drastic storms, but these were normally in November or December so no doubt another link to the impact of global warming. Dubai government sent seven cloud seeding planes up on Monday and Tuesday, but they are denying that that could be even pa...

Re: Electric Vehicles (EV) Thread

This is a strange one. Nissan "Kicks". Converts fuel into electric power, but never used to propel the car? I'm a bit confused about the technology and need to study it more. https://en.nissan.co.th/vehicles/new-vehicles/new-kicks.html https://en.nissan.co.th/vehicles/new-vehicles/new-kic...

Re: Electric Vehicles (EV) Thread

"The price war is an obstacle in the EV market as it causes unstable car prices, making buyers hesitant," said Wallop Chalermvongsavej, managing director of Hyundai Mobility Thailand.
I'm all for price wars, another 100,000bt off the Atto 3 would be nice!

Re: Electric Vehicles (EV) Thread

For the price it’s a lot of car for the money but they also do a single motor with about 300 hp - performance is still good but cheaper to buy? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Yes, if you do a lot of open road driving it would be good but I want something mainly for local driving and speed, acce...

Re: Electric Vehicles (EV) Thread

If I was to buy one today, I'd go for the Atto 3 but I'll probably be looking at early next year and everytime I go to Thailand, there are new models out so I'm staying flexible. I was recently talking to someone who has the 500hp Seal and they were impressed with it but it's way too much car for wh...

Re: Dubai airport (DXB) flooded

Yes, I just reading yesterday that Dubai is now the second busiest airport in the world so I hope it doesn't get too much disruption.

Re: Electric Vehicles (EV) Thread

.....I will stay rooted in facts, and keep my petrol hybrid.
In that case why did you bother opening a thread about electric cars?
I want to know which one to buy, not hear from everyone who doesn't want one!

Re: Buying a new Forza or Xmax

I think one of those places renting bikes at the top of the approach to the beach near the Hilton has larger scooters like the Forza for rent, the one on the left if I remember correctly.

Re: Electric Vehicles (EV) Thread

Yes, I'm sure the UK will be at the rear of this transport revolution but I think Thailand will rapidly follow China in going electric and they're already heading towards 50% sales. I was recently reading that Hyundai has just mothballed a petrol car production facility in China that was only seven ...

Rampant pollution in Asia has left more than half the world’s population breathing unsafe air https://www.theglobeandmail.com/world/article-hanoi-jakarta-smog-pollution/ On any given day, IQAir’s map of Asia is a sea of yellow and orange, indicating moderate to unhealthy air quality, with only a few...

Re: Which Mobile Phone?

I was just in an electronic shop in Luxembourg and I hadn't realised just how pricey these things can be.
The most expensive works out at over 75,000bt!
