Re: Hua Hin Hospital sued for overcharging foreigners
Foreigners pay a 250 baht "service" charge without using the express clinic. This is receipted separately to medical charges and is on a receipt from the office of the public health ministry permanent secretary welfare fund - hua hin hospital. I'm sorry to sat this mate, but you are mista...

Re: Hua Hin Hospital sued for overcharging foreigners
Strange, as the clinic charges 200 baht express charge plus the Dr's fee. Both charges rolled into one. Maybe I should just go to the express clinic to get my 3 monthly prescription. At least I wouldn't have to wait 2 hours plus waiting time for medicine as well. Anyone do this? If you only need me...

Re: Hua Hin Hospital sued for overcharging foreigners
Just to point out a few FACTS: This news is old news, as someone has already pointed out, it supposedly happened a few years ago. Also, Hua-Hin Hospital has never charged foreigners more than Thais. I find it highly unlikely that they would have charged this particular guy more but yet they have nev...

Re: Labeling on food nearing expiration date
I notice VM discount stuff after it has expired. The other day, at the one in town, I was looking for apple sauce. They had Colemans, but it expired last month and it was reduced in price. I bought some aussie stuff instead. Isn't the distinction Best Before (which is still OK to use after the date...

Re: Aggressive Expat Drivers
Yes, I have seen many expat pricks behind the wheel, with the most recent knob head being yesterday. Of course the prick in question wouldn't dare to step out of his vehicle. I also see one particularly foul expat every day during my travels, and I'm afraid that if he continues to treat people the w...

Re: Cleaner to get condo ready for Airbnb guests
My MIL and my friend's wife work as a team cleaning and preparing a few party homes, and I'm sure they would be grateful for any work. My MIL speaks hardly any English at all but my friend's wife speaks very good English. I have no idea how much they charge, but I can say that they are reliable and ...

Re: Price comparison FOOD - Hua Hin/U.K
I cook farang food in huge batches then freeze them in those aluminium cartons. My freezer is usually full of pre-cooked western food. Chilli con carne, shepherd's pie, corn beef hash, and others. Plus one my daughter calls 'Cat Poo' as it never turns out the same and the ingredients vary immensely...

Re: HUA HIN TO STERILIZE 1,200 MACAQUES
Well overdue, I avoid taking visitors to Khao Takiab or anywhere similar. Nasty creatures best left in their own habitat. Like stray dogs and rabies jabs, an overdue reaction to a problem that has been there for a long time. I feel sympathy for the people doing the sterilizing, If it involves catch...

Re: Price comparison FOOD - Hua Hin/U.K
I wasn't really going to get drawn into this thread, but I guess the temptation is a bit too much. I've seen a bunch of comments highlighting the fact that if you want to eat Farang food, then you are obviously going to have to pay the price because it is supposedly so much more expensive than local...

Re: Hotelier and restauranteur wholesale
Yes there is such a supplier, which to the best of my knowledge, supplies most, if not all of the larger hotels and quite possibly supermarkets as well. they will also sell in small quantities if you visit the premises. Their prices are way better than what you will find in places such as Makro, but...

Re: Thailand eyes lifelong learning push
The newer generations grew up with technology, using computers or phones for both leisure and study. Love this part. Kids here only use phones for chatting and taking selfies. Sit them in front of a computer and tell the to research something, they'd be totally lost. That is not correct for all Tha...

Re: Are expats falling out of love with the Land of Smiles?
I see much has been said regarding some of the reasons why people choose to leave, such as the cost of living, declining exchange rate, health concerns, all of which are very valid reasons. However, let's not forget that a large number will inevitable want to leave after a certain number of years be...
