Re: Hua Hin City FC

Hi,
Could someone give directions to Fort Thanarat? ´(from Hua Hin)
I assume it might be somewhere in this thread already but I´m not sure if I can go through all the pages in time ;-)

Re: German Bar Owner Murdered On Koh Samui Island

Very sad story. Reminds of something i have read in a travel guide about germany once: never lean against or even touch a car of a stranger, they might get very upset. So the "not touch a germans vehicle" rule and the "don't argue with drunk thais" rule seem to have crossed each ...

Maybe there will be a passport-making craft-course and if you fail it you go to jail. 20.000 Baht for a D-, 2 years in jail for an F.

Re: Hua Hin Immigration clampdown on ID and 24hr reporting

I got pulled over on my motorbike yesterday and had to pay for not carrying my licence. It was the honest kind of cops (the ones that give you a receipt). They asked me my name, so they could write it on the receipt but never asked for any kind of ID. So hopefully the enforcement of that passport ru...

Re: Top 5 Reasons Expats Sometimes "Wash Out"

It's true that i've never been to the far north but i spend some time in rather rural areas, compared to that i would say in hua hin there are few dogs and they are quite peacefull. I've been here for about 2 month now and probably had 3 or 4 dogs barking at me. The 2 who always hang around my house...

Re: Top 5 Reasons Expats Sometimes "Wash Out"

What i like about hua hin is that there are far less street dogs then in most other places i've been in thailand... mostly pretending to throw something at them helps in my experience (they got so many rocks thrown at them, they already get scared by the gesture...

Re: Free Pool?

Thanks for the tipps. (And thanks for the maps on this website, makes ot easier to find the places)
And i don't blame the girls for asking for drinks. I know it's their way to earn money. but still it would be nice to play with people who buy their own drinks sometimes.

Re: What brought you to Hua Hin?

I came to thailand for holidays a couple of times but never been to hua hin. I thought thailand would be a nice place to live so i started looking for a job. Found one in hua hin, figured out that hua hin has a beach. Good enough for me, now i'm here :-)

You can get organic vine-leaf-tea at the hua hin hills vineyards. tastes pretty good by itself but you can also mix it with other teas if you got the leaves
