Re: Snake bites in Thailand - medical attention

I have followed the topic "Snakes in House & Garden" but I have a slightly different question. I read about many encounters with snakes in house, garden, etc. but I never hear about anyone actually being bitten by a snake. My questions are: 1) Does this happen very often? 2) If someone is bitten th...

Re: Football on TV in central Hua Hin

Hi PGS,

My go-to place to watch football, rugby, etc. is Father Ted's (Irish Pub) located opposite of the police station/City Beach Hotel on Soi 61. Great food, drinks and about 6-7 tv screens.

Cheers,
B.

Re: Hua Hin's tallest building to open this month

I've always believed it was 5 stories, and East of Petchkasem Rd. However, I'm not sure where I picked that up - probably sat on a bar stool at the time. Does this new building actually fall within central Hua Hin? Very loosely, if it does. The "law" is 500 meters from the beach which is around the...

Re: Security at Hua Hin to be stepped up for high season

Believe it or not, but they are correct - visitor figures have gone up compared to 2015 and 2016. However what they don't mention is that there is a shift of market and geo source. The ratio of Thai to Foreign visitor to Prachuap Khiri Khan is 80:20 which puts the number of foreign guests into persp...

Re: Opinions on living at sea craze

Hey Jingjoe, A friend of mine has a place at Sea Craze and is very happy. She says very quiet, one of the biggest pools. good maintenance and the security company is doing a fair job. It was build 5 years ago and prices went up due to south Hua Hin being developed. Since quite a few people bought it...

Re: Speed Limits to be Halved?

What speed limit? They can reduce it to 20 km/hr and nobody will give a shite if it is not being enforced, controlled and fined by the MiB.

Re: Animal abuse Thailand

Hi guys,

There is the TSPCA (Thai Society for the Prevention of Animal Cruelty) based in BKK.

Not sure if they are willing or able to help, but it is worth a shot.....

Re: Indian restaurants in Hua Hin

Do you know if they deliver? I'm a bit out of town but would order a decent amount. :)

Asked the owner last time and no, they don't deliver. The owner hates to say "no", but he doesn't have the capacity. Either dine-in or pick-up.

Re: Any drivers from Austria?

Hi nellyp,

I actually didn't need an international license in Cha-Am. I used my EU Austrian license (pink one) and it was no problem. If she still has the pre-EU-era license, she should definitely get an international one.
