Re: Strange incident on the road last night
That's a worry!
On raising this with my wife she says its been known that scooters have been jacked with a similar scenario in Hua Hin... riders knocked off, losing their scooter.
I'm glad our car doors lock automatically as we drive off and we got a top front/rear dashcam.

Re: 12 volt garden lighting
I have several 12v spotties throughout my garden lighting everything up. The way its setup is, i have one 12v transformer fitted in a electrical box, with a timer and then a cable runs from that through my garden. This way you wont need a transformer at every light and you wont have 240v running und...

Re: Good Tiler... Whats a fair price?
I'd say a fair price also depends on how large your job is. If you are laying 4 m2 then the price is going to be higher than if you were laying 40m2. A 4m2 job may be completed in half a day but you may have to pay for 2 workers, there may be a lot of cuts involved so I wouldn't get too fixated on ...

Re: Good Tiler... Whats a fair price?
Tiler Prices Did the tiler say what adhesive they would use? According to my tiler in Australia it should be a rubber based adhesive. All my floors in Hua Hin house have started to pop so will need to be retiled at some time. Bit difficult to organise on holiday trips. Good thinking about the mater...

Re: Good Tiler... Whats a fair price?
I would want to see the tiles first though Nerus Yes, I will. I have just had the same thing with wallpaper. Quoted a price to do the job without knowing what wallpaper I may prefer. And this from a place that I have used previously when she had to chase around Bangkok for some Disney pattern wallp...

Re: Good Tiler... Whats a fair price?
We had another chat to our guy. I forgot to mention that price includes material, we only supply the tiles.
He is also removing items from the bathroom, washer/dryer, toilet and refitting after.

Good Tiler... Whats a fair price?
Our bathroom is getting re-tiled.
I know a guy and have seen his jobs, he is very good. Cuts nice angle joints, nice grouting and finishing. His rate is 450/sqm.
Seems fair?

Agreed. These people clearly lack etiquette.B6PTW wrote:Personally I just pity people walking the streets shirtless.
My personal dislike is people who walk into a restaurant shirtless or especially in swimwear.
It just shows lack of respect for other customers and the staff.
