Hua hin to Chaiyaphum town by public transport

Good afternoon folks, I would like to make this trip to visit an english mate of mine who lives in Chaiyaphum town. I don't have a car and don't particularly want to rent one, so would like to travel by big bus and/or train. Has anyone made this trip and who can advise on the various legs of the jou...

Thai lawyer who can handle UK divorce

Folks, A mate of mine is going through a divorce in the UK and he wants to know if anyone can recommend a Thai laywer in HH who may be able to represent him here. A bit of background: He is still married in the UK, but his wife has petitioned for divorce. He has been living in Thailand for about 1.5...

Re: Yoga for a beginner

Thanks for the advice guys. JW, it was bdsk1960 who asked the question about why you had to stop yoga. However, once I get back to HH tomorrow following a few days away I will follow up on the tips posted and may very well message you about your teacher once I have done a little more research. I fee...

Yoga for a beginner

Folks,

I am interested in getting into Yoga. I am an absolute beginner and in my 50s. Any tips on good classes, location, times and cost? Oh and also what is involved. I want to get a bit more flexible and a little fitter.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks guys, very useful info and Steve, point taken about the medical/accident insurance, have heard some expensive horror stories about people who don't have it.

Recommended dentist for crown and filling

Can anyone with recent presonal experience recommend a good/qualified/professional dentist in Hua Hin as I need 2 crowns and a filling. A close estimation of cost would be useful too. Many thanks.

Motorcycle 3rd party insurance - small bike, where/ how much?

Can anyone advise me on a good place (ie broker or other outlet) to purchase 3rd party insurance for a 110cc motorbike and the cost for a year. I am not referring to the government compulsory insurance. A standard insurance to cover 3rd party damage is what I am after, BTW the bike is old so not wor...

STD clinic in Hua Hin

Is there a clinic in Hua Hin that deals with treatment of sexually transmitted diseases? Alternatively does anyone have useful experience of what the hospitals in town can provide in this regard and an indication of cost?

In anticipation many thanks.

Is Hua Hin Immigration office open 09th May 2016

Does anyone know whether Hua Hin Immigration office is open on Monday 09th May 2016? I have heard through what sometimes is the unreliable grapevine that Monday (09th) is a public holiday.
Many thanks.

Bank/fixed term deposit account for 800k bt for visa extension

Does anyone have current experience of either CIMB bank and/or Land and Houses bank with regard to opening a fixed term deposit account to squirrel money away for the 800k baht requirement for visa extension. I notice that both these banks give better than average interest rates on this type of acco...

I want to buy a lake fishing rod

Back home I am a sea fisherman, so I have little knowledge of freshwater fishing and in particular here in Thailand. I want to buy a fishing rod with a view to fish some of the lakes in the Hua Hin and Cha am vicinities, which I have done on 2 or 3 occasions. I want a rod that is 8-9 ft in length so...

Re: Fishing tackle shop in Pranburi/Hua Hin/Cha-Am

Thanks guys, I will look at the one on the Palau Rd, not been there yet. The chinese one on the Chomsin Rd seems to have a lot of gear and rods appear to be quite cheap, so maybe I can afford to make a mistake.
