Re: Custom Villa projects

We do not know what sort of house, development or plot the OP in interested in but also can chek out the large plots in the development straight across Soi 112 from Dusita 1, on the soi that leads to Electric Mango. It seems to accept that people like to build to suit their own interests

Re: Custom Villa projects

Soi 112, Dusita 1, buy an empty plot and choose whoever you like to build your house. Most of the empty plots there are privately owned by people who bought them years ago then had change of plans. Or buy a small house on a large plot at less than ฿3,000,000 then enlarge and alter it to suit your id...

Re: nonstick cooking spray

We use cast iron and almost no oil, For many things no oil at all. The quickest and easiest way to season a cast iron pan is to just cook a batch of pancakes. Stewing or boiling in them ruins the seasoning and like Khundon1975 says, don’t wash them. But to occasionally rinse them while hot is OK. He...

Re: Niece in UK wants to be expat - finding work in Thailand

OOooopps..! I spelled “far east” but meant middle east - been thru the Suez Canal a few times and spent almost 4 weeks in Jedah in 1991. True enuf, the money is a big temptation, especially if tax free but Uncle Sam doesn’t allow that. Very difficult tho to understand the animosity, hostility, disho...

You could get a nice meal for two, for two $20's Hey, Yes, another nice environmentally friendly option for redeeming post expiry date natural resources. Personally tho am more and more liking the classic older ones. They are easier to catch. But to get back onto the topic, the thread’s label says,...

Re: Electric Kettle?

About not providing an in-room electric kettle, maybe a matter of PR. Possibly the guests get irritated when they notice that the plug will not fit the power points at home. It was a British joke BB - u gotta think about it for a while - the cords on the hotel’s equipment will not fit the guest's p...

Re: Electric Kettle?

Agree. But big pillows might correlate with other Asian mental processes. If a drink has ice it will be almost all ice, almost no drink. If you say sugar they dump in the whole bag. If there is music it will be full on. If there is air con it will be full down, room freezing. About not providing an ...

Re: Niece in UK wants to be expat - finding work in Thailand

Quite funny when someone talks of their niece it's automatically assumed they're referring to a young girl!! What shud he call her then..? My nieces are all in their 60s. 40s is a nice age for a girl. If you catch one in her low 40s she might also have a nice mom and a nice daughter too. And if it ...

Re: Cruise Ships out of Bangkok

When living in Penang checked the ones that leave from there and Singapore but they were all way down in the dump (read $h!t) comparing to the ones on the US west coast and Carribean - very basic food unless you eat in the optional dinning rooms and cafeterias at extra cost plus many of the activiti...

Re: Property Management Boss with Chequered Past

I think you need 2 posts before you can send & recieve PMs. Post a reply to somone to gat your 2nd post. If your new rental agent is a flake there might also be a problem when your tenant is ready to move out and wants the deposit returned. Might cause bad repercussions if anger sets in..
