Re: Thai Hotels Association concerned over popularity of Airbnb

Recently travelled through the north of Thailand and had taken the dog with us. Usual problem of finding pet friendly hotels that were of reasonable quality and price which seem to be few and far between. AirBNB has filled this niche market well with clean reasonably priced accommodation with the ab...

Re: Hotel/Apartment - small (4kg) dog friendly

We stayed in IBIS Hua Hin with our dog whilst looking for a house for about 1 month. It may provide a stepping stone to allow you to explore more permanent options. Finding something 'pet friendly' longer term will probably require a bit of footwork around the local area.

This may clarify Pete's comments a little further An extract from the article in "coconuts" para 3 'Mahout Yu Yungram, 37, said that he was taking two Chinese tourists on an elephant ride aro...

You surprise me Nereus, Having spent some time in Queensland I thought you may have come across this. Although I must admit I have only seen it on the shelves of bottle shops in the few years! Recipe looks good! :D

I can only mirror the comments made so far regarding Keith. I will miss the keen wit and acumen displayed in his contributions to this forum. Unfortunately I did not have the opportunity spend time with Keith personally, however we had corresponded and spoken on matters of mutual interest. He came a...

Re: Thai Deputy PM's bling attracts unwanted attention

In today's Bangkok Post he's been reported wearing another expensive watch - a Rolex this time. I just love the story that his good mate (who has since died) lent them to him, and he 'forgot' to give them back... If I were the family of the good mate, I'd be demanding their return. VS One would ima...

Re: Nescafe

I use a a Philips Senseo, which is going out of fashion a bit in the U.K., but this means the pouches are very cheap. I brought a converter to use ‘real’ ground coffee so as long as it keeps going shouldn’t become obsolete as many of these things do. I’m sorry but I don’t drink instant, god knows h...
