Is there really such a place-- that is really a great name! But no, I will assume it is a bar so it was not me-- I do not drink alcohol or go to bars. :D

I would be very interested as to where you got this information and what is is based on. I got my information from various travel guides (online and books) and from visiting and living in Japan and talking to Japanese and non-Japanese women who have lived there or do live there. However, do not tak...

I was almost sympathising until I read that. The comment reads like sheer petulance unless of course you can put my mind at rest and elaborate on what you meant by it. Put your mind to rest about an opinion I have that you do not agree with? Seems like a fools errand to me, but since I am seen as s...

Being over in Hua Hin perhaps the impact of todays events have not affected you as much I am not in Hua Hin. and I think it would be easy to read your posts as insensitive and even selfish. Of course, I am sure that neither was intended. And if you are sure about it not being intended why do you co...

Re: Cameras.

No:- Cameras, laptops, mobile phones, electronic car key 'plips' and even spectacle cases now have to go in the hold - ex UK. I am not sure of the requirements flying into UK. See http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/4778615.stm Peter Thanks. :) As far as I have read going into the UK it is only no liquid...

Re: Attitudes

pinksquid - hi Interesting stuff, but don't let the posts razz you. I believe that you refer to an exchange that you have just had on another thread. Not really, I was meaning more the women's section posts, but I have seen other people ask a question and get snarky responses back. :) Look back car...

It was your attitude that you should not have to be part of what thousands of people have suffered today, and will probably have to suffer for several days yet because you have an expensive camera. Where the heck did I say that? I asked for clarification. Pure and simple. I believe I am qui...

Return to Heathrow with Emirates, 34,500. That'll do me. Thank you very much for the information, it would seem that they are about the same as what I get in Europe and the US, I was hoping for a bit cheaper. Ah well. Unfortunately, Thai International were quoting 47,100 for the same thin...

Tribulations & Joys

When moving to a new country and researching it I often find many sources give a little "warning for women" section with a list of things that they may encounter that would be different in their home country. For instance, for Japan they often warn women against "perverts"...

On a serious note, why can't you just be happy with having a CONDO? Onlyme. For me, personally, a condo the size I need would be too expensive and not fit specific things I need to take into account, same for renting a house. I am not saying I need a big place to move around in just because I want ...

Ther is a Chinese Pharmacy at the junction of Petchakasem and Chomsin Road that has the best selection I have seen and the Pharmacist and his wife speak fairly good English and know ther stock. I have found Boots, Tesco and other supermarkets to be pricey and only stock a small selection. Thank you...
