Re: Kanchanaburi border (Phu Nam Ron) for visa runs
Reporting back: I finally went with a private taxi to the Kanchanaburi border. The private taxi was from a small visa-run office on the main road (sea side), not sure if it's the one at the front of Condotel since I didn't pay attention. They do visa-runs regularly, but because I simply showed up an...

Re: Govt bans visa runs; Thailand border check points will not stamp
I don't have the answer to your question but just so you're aware; you can, if you choose, go to immigration and extend the current stay for a period of 30 days. The fee is 1,900bt. Thanks for the hint. Since I need to stay approx. 45 more days in Thailand I prefer to do a visa run and get 60 more ...

Re: Govt bans visa runs; Thailand border check points will not stamp
Ranong will be fine - any border crossing will do. Phu Nam Ron (near Kanchanaburi) is closer to HH. Have a look at this thread if you're interested: http://www.huahinforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=25940 Thanks for the answer and the thread link. I replied to your last post in the aforementioned ...

Re: Kanchanaburi border (Phu Nam Ron) for visa runs
If you go back a page or two on this thread you'll see that this border doesn't offer visa exempt stamps (which are 30 days, there are no 15-day entries now). The only foreigners who can use that border must have a visa to return to Thailand. I'm afraid you were misinformed by HH Immigration, but y...

Re: Govt bans visa runs; Thailand border check points will not stamp
Hi guys! I'm new to this whole visa run thing. Here's my situation: I have one of these new 6 month multiple entry visas which gives you 60 days when entering. On April 6th, the first 60 days are running out and I'm supposed to leave Thailand. Now in order to obtain another 60 days, will a visa run ...
