Re: Extending Visa on Arrival.

Either way or whatever name you care to use for it. The question is, how many times in a row can you exit Thailand and come ...

Extending Visa Exemption
What's the current rules on doing visa runs for a visa on arrival? When I did it in 06, you could do 2 visa runs, has it changed?

Re: Carrying your passport?
I had a wallet size copy of the front page and visa page on the back, all in copy, then laminated.
Place in basement of Market Village did it.
Showed it to immigration at Bluport, they loved it.
I nevery carry the original. The card size works when checking into hotels in other towns.

Re: Question for Smokers Who Travel to Thailand
"Film: a reasonable amount for personal use".... That kind of indicates how long ago the regs were written. :? I mentioned in the past that when I was smoking I could tell a world of difference between cigarettes sold here and I guess made here or in the Philippines, and those produced un...

Thought this was better under Legal because it deals with Customs and Immigration.

Re: Bank verification of overseas income
Since all these changes came about under “Big Joke” command in an attempt to shut down the visa brokers and he’s been removed from that position, I’d say the rules can be expected to change again.

Toys for Orphans
I've built myself a hobby shop. I'm thinking of making toys to give to orphans.
Thing is, I have no idea what they would like.
I do work in metal and wood.

Re: Government to ban used car imports
I have to wonder if the blanket ban on imports of used cars is not being done so as not embarrass their neighboring countries. Most if which have polluting pigs of cars on the roads vs imports from places like UK and US with stringent emissions controls.

Re: Government to ban used car imports
I'm not sure your correct on that Rcer. There are plenty of stories of people permanently importing their bikes here recently. The laws were changed regarding temporary import of bikes as far as I know. Could be. I know that if you want to import your bike from home, you need to pay a huge duty far...

Re: Official Statement from BKK Bank in NY for US Fund Transfers
I tried TW again for a 5600USD transfer. They wanted 40.67USD plus their cut on the conversion rate. I went with my bank and the standard 40USD. Conversion will be done at BKK Bank. Usually costs me an extra 10USD. I guess my post above went over your head. You just lost yourself some money. Summar...

Thing is, if she had paid the original amount asked albeit illegally. She would have save herself a lot of money, hassle, and time in the Hilton.
