I didn't say "all government websites" - I said all government extranet sites. Anyway, I see reports that 90-day online reporting is working again now.

Re: New Hua Hin Immigration and passport office
Can someone really confirm that the Bluport office only will be for 90 days reporting, or can they perform other services too? According to information attributed to the same Kulsawek Sawekwannakorn who is credited with the photo in BB's post (and confirming londongeorge's info) the only services o...

Re: Immigration online guest registration for hotels/guesthouses
Thanks for that, sounds like the best way forward for them. It seems the 90 day report link is down also so either the govt websites have been hacked in protest against the new firewall or they're just not functioning which is nothing new. As I understand it, all the Thai government extranet sites ...

Re: The journey to a Yellow Book in Hua Hin
No doubt these are futile questions but: 1. Does anyone have any idea why the Tessebahn in Hua Hin needs everything certified by the person's embassy and the MFA when (if I understand correctly) other areas will accept certified copies from basically any accredited translation agency? 2. Would this ...

Re: Why do so many Thais look down on tourist / foreigners?
A fine example of the loaded question fallacy. You might just as well ask, "When did you stop beating your wife?"

Re: Handyman
If you're looking for a good handyman, I can recommend a Mr Sit, 081 939 6412. He's done quite a bit of work for me and I've always been happy with the results. He can do most kinds of minor (and some relatively major) repair/maintenance work around the house, garden, swimming pool and so on - struc...

Re: Kanchanaburi border (Phu Nam Ron) for visa runs
Just an update in case anyone's interested. I did a "border run" to Ban Phu Nam Ron a couple of weeks ago and got an extra year on my O-A multi-entry visa. It took us around 4 hours to drive from just south of Hua Hin to (we took the "scenic" route via Suan Pheung - including hav...

Re: The Journey to a Yellow Book
I got my yellow book last Friday-it took a LOT longer than BB but cost a lot less-I'm curious about the I.D. card BB. My wife said I couldn't get one because I'm not Thai. I thanked her for noticing, and then told her of your case. She went to the market and, well, I haven't seen her since. No I'm ...

Re: Photos/photocopies
IN THE PAST at HH immigration they have always had a nice lady who takes your photo and make copies for you. Not too expensive. And of course four photos when you only need two. :) I think I saw her last week, (not sure) she is out front to the right of the the entrance back in the corner. I have n...

Photos/photocopies
Does anyone know of a conveniently-located place near the Hua Hin immigration office to get photos and/or photocopies done? If not, where is the best place in HH for such stuff?
Apologies if this was previously discussed - I did a quick search of the forum and could not find any info on this.

Re: Immigration asking for more info from foreigners
Went last Thursday for my 90 day report. Had downloaded and completed my TM47 prior to the visit Was there when they opened - first in Less than 5 minutes - all done - no extra forms or info asked for. Same for me (except for being first in) for my 90-day report this Tuesday (May 31) - I've not see...

Re: Kanchanaburi border (Phu Nam Ron) for visa runs
Did a border run yesterday. Everything went smooth and easy. Drove there myself from Hua Hin. 2hours 50 minutes. 245km drive. Border was busy at 9am had 50 people lined up to leave Thailand. This que was 10 minutes and I was out of Thailand. Paid the 910baht for the van ride full of people to Burma...

Re: correct pronounciation of hua hin
thanks for the replies.looks like everyone agrees to disagree. cheers Not really, they're just saying that you can't accurately render the pronunciation of Thai word(s) using the English alphabet. For that matter, the same is true for almost any foreign language. Even those that use the same alphab...

Re: Obtaining proof of residence letter for Thai driving license renewal
I just got such a letter from immigration - 500 Bt. I've never heard of anyone in HH getting that letter from the police station. I got a letter from the police station in HH - took about 5 mins. I wasn't sure if any money changed hands but my wife reckons she paid 500 Baht to the officer. The driv...
