Re: Electric Vehicles (EV) Thread
It's probably worth noting though, that Teslas with the autopilot feature are not fully self-driving (despite what the name suggests) and the driver is still supposed to stay in control of the car at all times. In all of those fatal Tesla crashes, it was determined that, "foreseeable driver mis...

Re: Electric Vehicles (EV) Thread
I’m sure it’s going to take a lot of testing to convince the majority - regrettably it will probably take a serious crash/fatality to convince them it was wise to be cautious!! There have already been multiple serious crashes and fatalities involving automated or semi-automated cars, unfortunately....

Re: Hua Hin hospital special medical clinic
As for private facilities, my son was recently in the VIP Area following his leg operation. That accommodation and nursing care knocked spots off anything the likes of BH has to offer at a fraction of the cost. It was really special. Of course, it is a public hospital with massive turnover of patie...

LOL, it's where it's always been. Only difference is you can't use the comfy sofas any longer. BB, do your know what's the deal with the SMC these days? I've gone up to the 5th floor twice now in recent weeks and each time they're sent me straight down to the after hours clinic next to the emergenc...

Re: Climate change could force Thailand to move its capital
Thailand may have to consider relocating its capital Bangkok because of rising sea levels, a senior official in the country's climate change office said on Wednesday. Projections consistently show that low-lying Bangkok risks being inundated by the ocean before the end of the century. Much of the b...

Is there not a good chance that if/when the world doesn't need oil anymore, the lithium producers will become all-powerful, and put stupid prices on lithium? We've seen the oil giants control prices for years. Will it not be human nature to see similar controls put on the mining of lithium? There a...

FWIW, a recent study carries some interesting data showing that metformin, a safe, easily-available and cheap medication appears to have a favorable effect on COVID-19 viral load and subsequent outcomes. According to this study: Metformin reduced the odds of hospitalizations/death through 28 days by...
