Snake in house - who to call

Hi there,

No snake in my house - but being the rainy season, it may happen.

Who should I call if one does turn up?

Is there a 999 (911) type of emergency number for snakes here in Hua Hn?

kindest

Re: Coffee in Hua Hin

Getting back to the topic rather than childish jibes. Indeed, and I want to apologise profusely to all and any American reading this. I love americans in general, love their vibrant spirt. I am also fully aware that not all americans are in accord with their Governments ideas. But I just could not ...

Re: Coffee in Hua Hin

Best description I've ever heard from a Brit about the reason why America has invaded so many. When asked where the enemies were, the person(s) reporting the enemies position waved their arm over a 270 degree angle and said "Wherever there be oil"

Re: Coffee in Hua Hin

Best description I've ever heard from a Yank about Brit expats usually being unable or unwilling to give directions or location above grade 'Vague' was about the reason why the British isles were successfully invaded so often by so many. When asked where the invaders were, the person(s) reporting t...

Re: Vicious Thai gangs at Songkran

They got 2 years in a Thai prison. Well, I have only documentaries to go on, but Thai prisons are not the nicest place to spend 2 years, correct? At least they will get the chance to hone these "deadly Martial Art skills" (smirk) They will also get the chance to live out their "femini...

Re: Vicious Thai gangs at Songkran

Just read this from a Thai website: [snip]Hua Hin Songkran Festival 2012 This year Hua Hin Songkran Festival is organized by Hua Hin Municipality with the concept of paying gratitude to elders and fostering traditional Thai culture and takes place during 12 - 14 April. Songkran Festival is the Thai ...

Re: House rental nightmares

Many thanks for all the advice - I was unable to reply due to tele communication issues. Well, the landlady was not interested about the dogs and noise even when I told her that we got attacked. But then I pressed her on the dirty water and she went a bit quieter. She has told us we can move out now...

House rental nightmares

Hi there, I am living in a nightmare. Dogs barking all night long, and making it unsafe to walk along my street at night. Music until 3 in the morning. As for the stink of sewage in our house, surely that is not normal? Air and sleep is the only things in life that should be enjoyed free of charge a...

Re: Almost "attacked" by dogs

Thats a great idea - many thanks indeed.

Run or try to escape? Not me. To stubborn, and now too angry. But I would rather do what you suggest than get into trouble with the law.

Almost "attacked" by dogs

Hi there, I was on my bike with a lady friend on the back (visiting form England - not a Thai "girlfriend") and while we were driving down my back street we were suddenly surround by dogs, 5 or 6 I think. 2 were rather large, the rest small. One "bit" me (no broken skin) and one ...

Re: Greetings

Hi james many thanks indeed for the post, and the tips seem very helpful. I'm not afraid of dogs, I'm more aggressive towards them. I was attacked as a dog when very young and although the physical scars have healed I have always had a hatred for them. I wrote 61 - sorry, meant that as 51 (still get...

Re: Greetings

Hi there, I'm from Hertfordshire. I'm 61 years old. Thanks for the tip but I have no interest in football. Now boxing yes, so I will most likely have a look at Thai boxing matches. I am reading up now on Thai attitudes. Was a bit shocked at what happened during the Song Kran nights, and have decided...

Hi there forum, just joined - been here some 6 months but have only recently discovered on-line life (us old fuddies take a bit of time with this internet thing - being on the line is interesting) I'm from the UK. Decided to get out before David Cameron hands the reins over to the fanatics. Did not ...
