Thai Cheese

I have just discovered a new shop/café on the side road from Soi 94 (the same side as Ga Hanoi but about 150 meters further down). It sells a variety of cheeses made in Thailand (Brie, Camembert, Goat's cheese, etc. along with Salami and various different kinds of bread. I tasted several cheeses and...

Re: Long weekend escape Thailand getaway ideas

South Korea is a very interesting country to visit. I was there last March and the weather was perfect. Lots to see and do around Seoul and even more if you travel further South. Good and interesting food, good hotels for a reasonable price. Ultra modern country that still has street markets, etc. V...

Re: Fish & Chips

A bit off subject but if you eat at Sabai Sabai on a Monday he normally does a good bubble & squeak with roast pork using leftovers from the Sunday roast.

Re: The best hamburger in Hua Hin

The gravy is optional but it does make it delicious and most Englishmen adore gravy.

Re: The best hamburger in Hua Hin

The best burgers in Hua Hin can be obtained at the Little Mermaid on Soi 94. She makes danish versions. Although there are several my favorite is the Danish trucker burger. It has all kinds of fillings (including beetroot) and is covered with a rich dark brown gravy.. Delicious!!!!

Re: Smart phones, not so smart operators

Although I do like the convenience of paying per telephone (you type in the correct amount and there is no chance of getting the wrong change), I am a bit wary of the big brother aspect of it all. The banks know exactly what you are spending your money on and how much you are spending, This informat...

Re: Just HOW are folk going to get to the new rail station?

What's the problem? It will probably never open in my life time. Unless there are lots of trains every day at popular times then it's not going to get many customers. The whole thing is massive, it's a station built for a major city. The only reason to build it so big is the fact that the bigger it ...

Re: Ear Wax Removal

I was in BeWell yesterday for my regular check-up so I asked about ear wax removal. The doctor had a special camera connected to her phone and showed me the inside of my ears which were both completely wax free. The whole process took about 30 seconds and cost nothing.

Re: R.I.P. Bobby Charlton

I agree that Bobby Moore was a very good player but he might not have been playing for England if the Munich air crash had not happened. Duncan Edwards would certainly have been captain. As well as Duncan Edwards, England also lost Rodger Byrne, Eddie Colman, Mark Jones, Johnny Berry, Tommy Taylor a...
