Re: Hilton nightclub

Does Johnny the head bartender at the Hilton still work there?

It's been about 8 years.

If not, anyone know his whereabouts?

Seeking a local driver

G'day boardies,

Returning to Hua Hin in October for the first time in about 5 years.

Can anyone recommend a good safe local driver with a decent vehicle?

I'll need a ride to a few golf courses, out of the way beaches, etc.

We'll be staying near the Hyatt.

Thanks.

Re: Springfield Lifetime Membership

With the membership what coasts are there to pay each round? Just the caddy fee and tip? Carts mandatory?

Cheers

Re: Sushi up-country?

As a lover of truly fresh sushi made to order, I can confirm that those colorful supermarket packages are in fact fish bait that double as bouncing super balls for children!

Buyer beware! :P :tsk:

Re: Does anyone reccomend the train for scenic value?

I always preferred the "Sprinter" that left BKK around 1:20. A fine lesiurely way to spend the afternoon and take in the sights. Vendors always seemed to offer better food than the bland stuff served by the official restaurant onboard.

If you're still looking for someone PM me and I will put you in contact with a few Japanese people who live in HH. Some of them teach there apparently.

Jamie and Chelsea, Supatra gets the thumbs up here too.

Sure you can get better food for the money but the atmosphere and views are superb.

Been to both the one of the corner of the Sofitel and the Fuji in Market Place and would be very reluctant to eat raw fish in either. Not saying the restaurants are crap, just the general hygiene standards for raw fish in Thailand leave a lot to be desired. Fuji reminds me of a Sizzler in the West. ...

Sure they were Japanese? Not one of their usual traits, the flem that is ...
