As I said, all suggestions welcome. .,,,,,,,, Car due in for the fix this week and will update once done. It may be worth asking the agent to store it for you. I know somebody that has done that at the Toyota dealer. The car goes with the house that he rents out, and if a client wants a car along w...

Re: Peppers Restaurant
We found it by accident a couple of weeks ago, as we were visiting a friend who lives near Peppers.
Great food as usual.
Decided to use my Satnav to see if there was a quicker way home. Big mistake. Stick to the tarmac road as described earlier.

Re: Driving license
Last week I went to Pranburi to renew my 5 year licence(s). I had to bring evidence of my address from HH immigration, plus a copy of my passport details page, my Non O visa page, my entry stamp page and my white exit slip. Double everything if you want a bike licence as well. I also showed my old l...

Certainly a lot easier on the eye than Bentley's effort.

Ridiculous as it may sound .... how about a toy cat or rubber snake under the car?
I have worked on rigs where we had a fibreglass owl screwed on to the handrails near the helideck to frighten off the seagulls.
Maybe you could stuff the cat with mothballs!

Re: Classic Car prices
I remember the old red Desoto. I looked at it but it certainly didn't have that 'one careful elderly lady owner' look about it. There is still a few cars lying out the back of that place.

Re: Second hand cars in Hua Hin. Where?
Just as you enter Pranburi on the left, there is a lot with a pile of second hand cars. can't vouch for them as I have had no dealings with them. Note ... don't take the by-pass road as you will not be able to access the place from there, you need to go by Petchkaseem Road. As soon as you are in the...

Would like to rent a lockup/garage.
Looking to rent a garage or lockup (as we call them in the UK) to keep a rarely used car in. Preferably inland from the railway line. Somewhere up Pala U Road would be even better.

Classic car insurance.
I bought myself an old car a year ago and struggled to get it insured. Eventually Siam Motorworld in Bangkok arranged something for me. However, the company limit the payout to 200,000 baht which is way less than the car is worth. Anybody out there know of any companies that will sell me 'agreed val...

Re: GPS maps for Toyota Fortuner TRD Sportivo III - 2011 mod
My experience of Garmin GPS in English, is if you don't spell the destination absolutely as Garmin have it stored then you won't find it. We had a nightmare trying to find Leluk (Laluk, Lelook, Lalux, Lelux) Hospital in Bangkok recently on a Toyota satnav. We ended up driving to roughly the area we ...
