Re: El Toro Loco bar closed?

Just my 10p's worth. I think Toro bar was probably the best bar in the area up to around 2010. There was usually plenty of decent eye candy sat out front and the music was very pleasant to listen to, Eagles etc.
I guess it just lost its way, mai pen rai.

Re: Demolition of restaurants + shops in Poon Suk road

I only visit twice a year for a month at a time, but i find it very sad with the demolitions and beach chair/bed closures etc. I suppose the powers that be are trying to do a Pattaya by making the front a locals and tourist area with the bars being encouraged to operate the other side of Petchkasem....

Re: Demolition of restaurants + shops in Poon Suk road

Moonsmile didn't have its own toilet but a couple of the eateries did have, where the waste went I dare to think. There are going to be a lot of disappointed Scandi couples come the high season, they idolised Moonsmile. Has anything been demolished on Naresdamri since Sangthai next to the fishing pi...

Re: Demolition of restaurants + shops in Poon Suk road

Which restaurants on Poonsuk have been demolished, those on the left after the mini night market? The food in Monnsmile and Platoo was always good. Any news about the shops and restaurants on Naresdamri from the fishing pier to the chinese temple, I heard they were scheduled for demolition. I know t...

AIS International calls

Yesterday I used my 1/2G mobile to phone a landline in the UK from off the beach in Hua Hin using AIS international discount prefix 003. Although the signal strength was good the line was unusable and I had to swop to the usual +44. The problem was that my 003 prefix is 6 thb per min but the +44 is ...

Re: Maximum ATM withdrawal and lowest fee

Don't you just love to hear the sound of the money being counted at the ATM, you then know that your cash is good to go. :) I bring a certain amount of cash with me nowadays,:) when I first started coming to Thailand, the Thai bank ATMs were no charge, as was my Nationwide Flex account, how times ch...

Re: Hua Hin Hospital Vs Bangkok Hospital

With having previous experience I will give you my 10p worth. :) 4 years ago I had serious problems with my right leg when on holiday in HH, it turned out to be DVT, either from the flight from the UK or combined with my hip replacement 8 months earlier. I had to go to BH for 10 consecutive days and...
