Re: Looking for an alternative to True

Probably a waste of time, but it may make you feel better. Remember the carry on that you had with the Ford Dealer in Hua Hin?

Also a waste of time trying to use their call centre number.

Would be interesting to know how Immigration treat this, if the poor bugger has no recall of what he has said or done.

Re: How can Thailand curb its appalling road fatality rate?

Yeh, these speed warnings are appearing all over Thailand. I would doubt their accuracy as going past one on the way to Tha Yang, it had my speed more than 10kms over my actual speed! I believe that this one is the same one that I posted about some time ago. How do you know what your true speed is?...

Re: Drivers License Dec. 7 2016

I’ve just renewed my 5 year car and m/cycle licenses this morning at the Cha Am office - first thing was that they do not accept the yellow book on its own, I had to go to one of the municipality offices nearby to get a letter confirming the yellow book was current/valid - at a cost of 10 baht!! So...

Re: E-business tax targeted to fill govt coffers

To facilitate the e-tax system, the department will need to invest 2.3 billion baht to install a big data analytics system.
Well, if their "data analytics system" works in the same way as most Goverment IT systems I would not worry too much about it!

Re: Annual Tessaban land tax

You have until the end of February to pay it. If you are in Hua Hin go to the Tessabahn and ask them exactly what they want. There used to be a lady there that spoke good English, not sure if she is still there, but they will find somebody that can explain it. You have not posted just what method yo...

Thanks again. On the ID requirement, can it be anyone who goes along to pay and presents their ID? Can a foreigner go with his or her passport and do it? I beleive that they are asking for the ID of the Thai person that owns the land. Why else would they want it? This "government" is hellbent on ch...
