Re: (Don't) Wear a Mask Debate
Happy to be in an area where most, inclusive, do not comply. Guessing 75% don't wear a mask properly, if wearing. Since a farang (target wearing), I wear, but same as the 75%. Had Po Po drive by me a couple times, when I forgot to put on for my morning walk, and they didn't bat an eye. The mask I do...

Re: Which Mobile Phone?
Xiaomi fan also, but don't use any of their apps. Came with G-Drive, so use that for transfer of anything. We've had a few of Xiaomi phones, wife, kid, mine is POCO (Xiaomi) branded, and excellent.
Use a lot of their products, Air Purifier even their Drone in the past.

Saw that and quite good, aside from a few political things. Amazing how tourist effect wildlife by noise pollution was the eye opener for me. Highly recommend also.

Re: Traveling in Thailand during the time of Covid
During this wave of silliness, we only left the province once, last week, as noted above. Prior to that though, and since April / June last year, when still frowned upon, out a wee bit, just between Krung Thep & Chumphon. Then July when restrictions were relaxed, we were out at least once every ...

Re: Traveling in Thailand during the time of Covid
Also out this week (MTW), for some business at Krung Thep Monday. Was going to extend more than the 1 day necessary to visit with daughter, but she was feeling very under the weather. Nothing different except less vendors, a bit more mask wearing. Dined at local street food (food court) & delive...

Re: Guide to moving to Hua Hin
We know that rules are changing all the time and there will be lots of hoops to jump through. Actually they haven't changed much in the last 20 yrs, just tightened up a bit now and then. More so, the foreign embassies screwed things up, by no longer validating paperwork. If only coming for 6 months...

Re: Hobby shop/Model makers suppliers.
The larger B2S shops (one at MV) have a limited wood hobby section. Though never been in the HH branch. If there this week & remember, I'll take a peek. Scratch that idea. The B2S in basement of MV is rather small, and no balsa woods on display. Plenty of paints once your craft is completed. In...

Re: Beach Walks - Now & Then
So are you allowed to walk the beach these days? Any changes since 2018? Were the beaches ever closed ? Or just groups (protesters 🤣) assembling anywhere ? Been on the beaches HH & S. off (Gulf & Andaman) and haven't noticed any restriction enforcement, as people strolling on, though very f...

Re: Benefits of being in a lockdown.
Can't really say we, myself have been locked down. Since new restrictions, coincidently, hanging out voluntarily, overseeing a house build the past 2 months. Prior, June till this April, been out & about, average at least 1 long week or 2 a month. All points S, N & NE. Only area we didn't ve...

Re: Laptop Body Parts Wanted?
Laptop batteries don't make good landfill. Anybody in town do battery disposal? Bumped up, and hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. Have a bunch of lipos needing disposal of. Any suggestion appreciated, or I may just pop them myself and let them burn up. Don't want to risk trashin...
