The baht to the pound is looking at it's lowest level over the last 10 years. It must be hurting a lot of us who rely on UK income!

I0 looked up the procedure for getting a licence. OMG. It's more involved than the UK. Before even getting a learner licence you have to register with an approved driving school. While on 'L' plates, you can only drive when accompanied by a licenced driving instructor. After passing examinations and...

My mum comes for 3 months every year (she's 93). The first time she was here and saw a broken paving slab, her remark was "Someone needs to report that to the council"! She couldn't understand why I was laughing.

Some of these 'party houses' are very loud. A coach turns up and it goes on all night.

The original cap was revoked when the junta took over. The new cap was announced on Tuesday and expected to be endorsed this week.

I think the cap of 30 baht has been in place for some time since the oil prices went crazy some years ago. The government 'takes back the debt' when oil prices come down.
