Where can I buy a sewing machine?

My wife is after a sewing machine.

Does anyone know where I can buy one in Hua Hin?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Online Ordering - a sign of the times?

I've just ordered an item from Lazada and I noticed a difference between them and the UK. A couple of weeks ago, I ordered something from Argos for my daughter. The delivery advice came back as being delivered between 10:00 and 12:00 on Tuesday. The delivery advice back from Lazada was that it will ...

Re: Online Ordering - a sign of the times?

I have no problem buying online with my Bangkok Bank card. I opened a Paypal account since being here. It's linked to my UK account. Again no problems.

Re: Hua Hin Immigration Move to top of Soi 88

Nah. That's much more than a backlog. Had to park the car on the road as the car park was full. People couldn't get near the building without having to force their way through the crowd. I'm sure tomorrow will be back to normal and I'll find out what happened today.

Re: Hua Hin Immigration Move to top of Soi 88

Hopefully the move will negate the queues today. I've always praised immigration for their speed and efficiency. I went there today in the afternoon when it's usually quiet and there were more than a hundred people waiting. What happened? I left and will try again tomorrow. I have never seen the cro...

I remember the Cycling Proficiency Test at school. I was so proud of the badge I got for my bike. Attitudes are very different here.

The WHO is the usually accepted one. Libya is way way out in front and would take some catching even by Thailand. World Atlas doesn't include Libya. Anyone know why?

Re: Online Ordering - a sign of the times?

It's a free chat/video/call system similar to Messenger (facebook), Whatsapp and Skype plus a few others.
When I contacted Argos in the UK via their website, I was connected to them using Messenger.
Seems it's the way to go these days.

Re: Hua Hin is starting to look a lot like Christmas

I was out and about this evening and although the two shopping centres are well bedecked, I saw no sign of the town being decorated. Even Intercontinental was quite drab compared with other years. No lights on the flyover or anywhere else for that matter. Maybe it'll all happen in the next week or so.

Re: Knee Replacement

Out of curiosity, I looked up the price of knee replacement in the UK. It states the lowest as 8,750 with the highest at 15,410 with an average of 11,434.
BKK Hospital (according to a post above) is not far short of 10,000 quid. I'd have thought the difference would have been greater.

I'll make it four. My daughter, years ago entered without a passport at all and a friend's wife entered with an expired passport which she renewed before going back to the UK.

Re: What's Happened To The Water in Hua Hin?

Fortunately, with a 25,000 litre underwater tank,................... Yeah, those underwater tanks tend to stay full. :rasta: Not sure what you're getting at. A couple of years ago the water was off for several days. I hadn't noticed until the neighbours asked how I was managing. Checked the tank an...

Re: Direct from Grower leafy vegetables.

I've tried hydroponic grown vegetables and for me, apart from being expensive, much of the flavour is lost compared with conventionally grown produce. A good test is to try a tomato from each system. The tomato grown in soil is far more tasty then those grown in a hydroponics solution. Furthermore t...
