Re: New retirement visa rule - show 800k every 3 months

Bit of Lateral thinking, Thai hospitals regularly have problems with Visitors having no medical insurance, could this new requirement be a cunning plan to ensure there is always either 400k or regular income available to cover such incidents

Re: Good Dermatologist in Hua Hin

There's a young lady Dermatologist immediately next to Avis car hire on the way into HH from Cha Am. Just past Index then Hafele. She's open about 5 -8 weekdays and Saturday mornings. Well qualified and comes well recommended.

Re: Recommendations for 3 best golf courses

For me Black Mountain is too pretty pretty, overrated and expensive, Banyan is much the same and a poor challenge of golf off the white tees.. I would go for Seapine, looks innocuous but the wind really changes it, Majestic is in great condition and has a great variety of holes final course could be...

Re: How do you scare a monkey to death?

You seem to allude to him being a bit Clever or maybe a Wise Monkey in which case you first of all have to determine which of the 3 (or 4) wise monkeys he is. If his hands are over his eyes then he "Sees no Evil" so the Crocodile is a waste of money, if they're over his ears then he "...

Re: Money transfers to Thailand.

Try HIFX.com or HIFX.co.nz. They only charge you the commission on the exchange rate which is very competitive. No problems for me moving money very quick and reliable.

Re: Querying Utility Bills

We had a problem a while back with the water meter spinning round. On checking I found it was air going through not water, possibly due to repairs somewhere in the water main and me venting yhe line for them. I shut the valves off either side then a couple of hours later the air had vented out and a...

Re: How much dowry do I pay?

There are 2 main financial elements to a Thai marriage. Firstly the initial Capital cost for the family to have big face in the village, as mentioned this is very often returned the same evening. This is rapidly followed by the monthly running costs of the venture which, in a very short period, exce...

Re: Speed Cameras/Speed Limits

Please advise is there a way to find out if I have any tickets that need to be paid by the plate numbers? I registered my car at my old rented house and never received any mails since I've moved out from there. I assume there got to be some tickets in mail but I simply never seen them :? My underst...

Re: Speed Cameras/Speed Limits

Went to Pranburi today to renew the Tax on my caaaa hitch was politely declined as I have an outstanding speeding fine in Khorat. Main problem is that I did not receive any advice through the post and having checked in HH Police station have been told I have to go to Khorat Police Station to pay it....
