Re: Property Lease

The 30 year lease is the law the +30 and another+30 is something the lawyers have drawn up but it has not been tested to the best of my knowledge( tell me if it has) and it was not the Thai governments intention in the first place otherwise there would have been a provision. So up to you as they say.

Re: Typical price of a large beer in HH bars?

In the bintabaht area (main bar area in HH) you usually get a bottle beer for 80 baht! 60 baht if its happy hour. And in the after hours area they go for 100 baht! If you find a bar that serves draft beer, they usually are cheaper :) Sorry the OP is asking about LARGE beers and you have qu...

Re: NHS treatment back in the UK if resident in HH?

Incidentally, as I understand it, just having a UK address and/or UK passport is not enough to be eligible for free NHS treatment. You have to be (and they're supposed to ask you if you are) residing or intending to reside in the UK permanently. I think it's done more or less on the honour system a...

Good to hear from you again HHF and hope you are all well back in in USA. Your advice is very good of course and Phetcharat Hospital is a second alternative where you do not pay so much.

Re: Looking for an alternative to True

BB - Surely it is possible to pay True every 3,6 or 12 months and then you would not have to go to their office? Or have I missed the point that even if you have paid in advance they still put a threat close message on your screen?

I'm sure Key Visa provide an excellent service, but what guarantees do they give about securing the integrity of your passport? Thailand does, after all, have a reputation as a centre for passport and identity fraud.
For Gods Sake Caller the Key Visa service is excellent why knock it?

Re: British Passport renewal company in Hua Hin?

So how does KeyVisa do it. I've read many times of people using their services without having to visit BKK. Of course there is a fee but you save two trips to BKK and the hassle involved. Key Visa send their people to Bangkok twice which is included in theiir fee BHT5,000 ( I think) - they also obt...
