Re: The journey to a Yellow Book in Hua Hin

You can definitely live here without either but there are some advantages of them - for one the ID card is typically accepted as proof of identity and is credit card size so easily fits in a wallet, so no need to carry your passport. I also use the yellow book at Immigration as proof of address as ...

Re: The journey to a Yellow Book in Hua Hin

@GeorgieGirl An agent can probably help with getting documentation translated and certified (passports mainly). You'll also need transliterations of your parents' names. You will also need a copy (maybe the original?) of the residence blue book, and your landlord's (if you're renting) id card. As f...

Turkish restaurant in Hua Hin

IMO a Turkish eatery would go down very well in Hua Hin and would give serious competition to the Indian ones -

Pataya has shown the way below

Re: Indian restaurants in Hua Hin

Anyone tried the Indian Hut opposite the Hilton yet? I say yet I assume it opened recently?? It's been open a while now and titles itself as being, 'the best authentic indian food in Hua Hin'. But it's location means it's probably easier for tourists to visit than expats. They got told off elsewher...

Well said - frankly you get what you pay for and we are so fortunate to have her practice in Hua Hin. I used to go to Harley Street in London and Nana is so much better.

Re: Pizza in Hua Hin

Had it again at Lakeside Bar. Phad grapow pork pizza with two eggs on top. I was going to take it home, but after a couple of beers, I decided to try a slice. The whole pizza was gone a short time later. It’s like crack! Probably my favorite pizza in Hua Hin right now. Perfect spicy complement to t...

Re: The 90 Day Report Thread

Bit of a strange situation here, and proof that the online and immigration systems are not connected. I have two separate 90-day reports ... maybe I wont have to check in with the Gestapo again for 180 days. Did the online report as mentioned above but forgot to print it out. Went to immigr...

Re: Indian restaurants in Hua Hin

Can highly recommend The Spices in Soi 51. Excellent quality and quantity. Not quite up to Mukti but a lot less expensive. I just passed by there two days ago and reminded myself to visit it soon. I’ve heard good things. That whole area is really getting some exciting new venues. I still suggest yo...

Re: Affirmation to marry to Ministry of Foreign Affairs and agent in Bangkok

I did this in 2010 in Bangkok I went to British Embassy for a letter from them that I was not married. probably gave divorce certificate. Get Agent to take us to Bang Ruk (spelling?) for marriage papers. The Agent took them for translation into English. He then takes them to Ministry Foreign Affairs...

Just got an email from these guys saying their domain has changed again to: https://z-lib.id/ Login works as usual however, no downloads were available unless you had a premium account. Went through the steps and it asked for $25 which didn't seem too bad for a "lifetime account". I guess...
