Re: History Challenge

I would say the closest is Okinawa and Japan. I can think of nothing left in Hue, Vietnam. Angkor is more of a temple ruins site now with any fortifications long gone. Hong Kong has some WWII Japanese bunker ruins but they were hardly castles. The Forbidden City in Beijing may qualify as well.

Re: What's Happened To The Water in Hua Hin?

I've found that many places now large and small (even my little town) has a municipal FB page where they put up all the plan announcements about water and electric outages, road repairs etc. I would think the HH Gov has one too. All in Thai of course but a useful bookmark. Pete

Sorry to digress from this very important debate, but does anyone know for sure whether immigration will be open this Monday? It's Constitution day or something.
It's a national holiday. All Gov offices closed as well as banks and schools. Pete

Re: Kasikorn Debit Card

I still need to check it out yet, but I withdrew some money on Mrs BB's card today, and a notice popped up on the screen saying that her ATM card fee for 2018 will be automatically taken in January - 650 Baht. That sounds rather expensive, and they can have it back. We (the wife) uses K Bank as wel...

They learn as a group in team formation, but it's an individual pursuit. Worthwhile and proven based upon feedback from forum members who have enrolled their kids. Pete

Re: mobile/internet coverage Hua Hin

If they did start to mount their individual "stuff" on shared towers, it would sure help the ever growing blight on the countryside. I think it's a good idea and hope what I read is not just another forgotten initiative here. Pete

Re: mobile/internet coverage Hua Hin

I thought I read somewhere that the new deal implemented by the Gov is for no more individual owner cell towers, but towers shared by all services? Of course that includes construction and maintenance costs. If I come across the article again I'll post, but it was several months ago. Pete

I can't find an application to "enlarge" photos, only shrink them. Perhaps try again with a different photo. Pete
