Re: NFL In London?

I don't think any of the "crossovers" are going to work well long term except the one off special matches like Ireland/All Blacks or Ireland/England in Rugby etc. The only reason pro soccer is seen as a partial success is because of the big Hispanic population. If someone would take a look I would b...

^ Yes, it now stretches across the gulf and getting hit with heavy thunder, lightening and torrential rain over here on the Rayong coast....resulting in two cowardly Golden Retrievers both of which are trying to hide under a small coffee table. :D Pete

Re: Strange Occurrences in Sports

Here's a sad one not that old, that I remember clearly when it happened. Freak accident to be sure. :( Phillip Joel Hughes (30 November 1988 – 27 November 2014) was an Australian Test and One Day International (ODI) cricketer who played domestic cricket for South Australia and Worcestershire. He was...

Re: Population of Hua Hin or anywhere for that matter.

My feeling is that they're not concerned about foreigners. When should a resident Thai change their official residence from let's say Roi Et to Hua Hin? There has to be guidelines and rules concerning time and intention. :? Pete

Re: Population of Hua Hin or anywhere for that matter.

It would have to come from the House Book. How else would they do it? Anytime someone takes up residence in a house, is born or dies, the book is supposed to be updated with the info regardless of where that person was born. That's my understanding anyway. Pete

In my opinion the below is the best on the market and has been for a long time. However, I don't know if it's readily available here. Over to others more experienced about what's in the shops........ Pete

Re: Cars with dashcams get 5-10% discount

The Gov came out with the "5-10% discount" language, so of course seeing that the public has also read that, the insurance companies give the minimum 5%. Perhaps some companies who want to compete and gain market share will increase it above 5%, but I wouldn't hold my breath. Pete

So, they're looking at a 60% yearly profit. Time to reduce tolls in a big way, by about half. Pete

Re: The i-things - Apple devices and software thread

I've never had to do it but there is a lot on-line, including You Tube tutorials. Below is one link that seems straightforward. You'll have to download an up to date ops system though once all is erased and for that you may need some kind of identity registered with Apple. Not sure...... http://osxd...

Grand Palace, Temple of Emerald Buddha closed from Oct 1-29

Please be sure to tell your friends and acquaintances who are planning a holiday trip in October about this. Foreign based travel agents may not, and nothing worse than being surprised and not able to visit what you want to visit, especially for those who have never been here before. Pete  h...
