Had not heard of these - and the HK element certainly interests me. Shall visit Annas-Archive!!

Anywho - books rather than TV (my bad) :offtopic: :D

I especially enjoyed his Tai-pan and Noble House novels. It was actually a Hong Kong I could relate to. Don't know if they've made them into films.

Re: Hua Hin water shortage

It all depends upon the city water pressure if you can bypass a tank and pump set up. Some city water systems at times of the day is little more than a trickle and in no way can power itself into a house even to the first floor.

Re: Booster Vaccines - Covid 19

HHH had run out of stock when my last booster was due. It is now a 'watch this space' for when stocks arrive again. I wasn't aware private hospitals were doing them. Do you have any more info please? Not for down there. It appears that BH Pattaya has stock of Pfizer. On appointment basis only. They...

Re: Booster Vaccines - Covid 19

Is anyone getting boosters any longer? They're not free anymore, at least at the private hospitals. I think the current rate I saw was 1,500 Baht.

Re: Weather in Hua Hin & Thailand

A check of current satellite images shows storms coming over from the west right on top of Cha-Am and Hua Hin. Yellow and reds so there must be some storm activity involved? Let us know if you get a much needed cooling shower? It’s a bit cloudy which has dropped the temperature a bit, but doesn’t l...

It's great to see evening thunder storms popping up all over the place up country, but not even a shadow in the East. :banghead:

Great photos! A lot of those mountains spires are in their death throes I'm afraid. Centuries of erosion. Come back in another century or two and they may be mostly gone.

Re: MotoGP

I just watched a race from what I think is some kind of American Cup Championship series. I'll tell you, it's more exciting than F1 in that the bike groupings battle in 3-4's side by side for many laps, and some who go down and skid across the track. If you want some racing excitement on a smaller m...

Re: Termite Season 2021 and beyond

So far this season here in the East we have not had a sighting of a single termite, and no termite swarms at all. I'm afraid that with the first hard rain at night in the coming days/weeks it will be Armageddon here. If we're really lucky they have all perished underground with the heat and ...
